The port of Île-Rousse is the gateway to the Balagne region! Several companies serve the port and organize crossings between Corsica, the mainland and Italy. Corsica Linea will take you to Marseille and Nice, while Corsica Ferries will take you to Toulon, Nice, Livorno and Savona. The shortest Corsica-continent crossing is from Nice. The tourist train nicknamed "the metro of the beaches" runs between L'Ile-Rousse and Calvi with four return trips per day from Monday to Saturday. The train also runs to Corte, with a return trip in the morning and a Calvi-Ponte Leccia connection every afternoon. Between L'Ile-Rousse and Calvi, the line winds along the creeks and beaches, offering you a breathtaking view! All you have to do is raise your hand to get on this ancient micheline.
