The Paolini family created this estate in 1900. Today, Marc Paolini represents the fifth generation, following in the footsteps of his mother who ran the estate inherited from his own father. The Domaine Landry, planted with traditional grape varieties, is renowned for its grey rosé, of which it was the forerunner, but also a beautiful red Léa cuvée, matured in oak barrels, the white Léa, the Innatendu, a surprising red, the Blanc des copines. Great wine tasting. €30 for 10 wines and a tour. I know you can get tastings for free elsewhere but this was so worth it. We were there two hours and learnt so much about Corsican wine and all the different styles. We walked it from Calvi and back along the beach,about 45 mins each way.

Chaque année, je prend le temps de venir visiter le Clos Landry pour y « récolter » quelques belles quilles, pratiquement exclusivement des magnums. En cette année 2023, l’Ecu a fait son apparition (pas encore en mag), très remarquée ! Sans parler de l’Inattendu, je suivrais le conseil des charmantes jeunes femmes de l’accueil, toujours souriantes : « des bouteilles a oublier dans sa cave ». Je repasserais l’année prochaine pour compléter ma collection de millésimes et continuer mes emplettes ! Basgi à toute l’équipe du Clos.

Un moment hors du temps !
Nous avons penché pour le clos Landry pour une dégustation avec nos témoins de mariage… un choix judicieux ! Le lieu tout d’abord est merveilleux et magique. Mais encore… le vin délicieux, et les gens du domaine adorable ! Un moment qui a donné le sourire à notre groupe et que nous recommandons à tout le monde. Encore merci !
