This family business works 3.5 hectares of grand cru vines and produces 20,000 bottles of champagne as well as the red Ambonnay champenois hillsides. Created in 1930, it is today the third generation which holds the torch and all the production is sold on the spot! We are received in the refectory of the grape pickers, then on the way for a free visit which allows to taste a wine of assembly after having seen the press which dates from the end of the XVIIIth century.

Today, the^4th generation runs this beautiful 8.5-hectare family estate. You can visit the traditional winery, the cellars and an exhibition of tools recalling the family's past. Taste the Brut Tradition, a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, and the Cuvée Henri-III, named after the king who authorized the first wine fair in 1578. The House's red Ambonnay is not to be outdone. This very fine coteaux-champenois is perfect with characterful dishes.

Strengthened by values and traditions patiently acquired over the years, Pierre Déthune and his wife Sophie develop the know-how of a long line of winegrowers. A beautiful property of 7 ha allows them to elaborate 9 different cuvées: a demi-sec, an extra-brut, a brut, a rosé, a blanc de blancs (2015), a blanc de noirs and three particular cuvées: the Prestige, the Cuvée millésimée entirely aged in oak barrels (2012), and the Cuvée à l'ancienne (2012), which rests on laths for six years. Not to mention the ratafia (pinot noir and alcohol).

In Marie-Noëlle Ledru's magnificent estate, the work in the vineyard is accomplished with rigor and passion. Upon reservation, the mistress of the house offers you the possibility to visit her cellars, to taste her wines and to ask her all the questions about champagne. Her wines are energetic and vibrant. We especially like the Assemblage Extra-Brut and the Cuvée du Goulté 2009. This is an address that wine lovers will never tire of visiting!

Situated on the south-eastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the 7-hectare vineyard, run by son Demière and his family, comprises 20 parcels that produce champagnes expressing all the subtlety and strength of the terroirs from which they come: Ambonnay, Bouzy (both classified Grand Cru) and Trépail (classified Premier Cru). Chalky soils, exceptional soil and perfect exposure enable the domaine to produce its 6 cuvées each year. Grand Cru and Premier Cru champagnes are both elegant and round, with flattering aromas.

A young house, but one that can and must become a Grande, as its Champagne is classified as 100% Grand Cru. A quick reminder: there are three different crus in Champagne: Grands Crus, Premiers Crus and Champagnes sans cru. Only 17 communes (just 13% of the appellation's surface area) are 100% Grand Cru. This is the case of Ambonnay, the commune where the entire Paul Croizy vineyard is located. In short, Paul Croizy Champagne is made exclusively from grapes grown on the noblest terroirs in the Champagne kingdom!

A family business founded in 1965 by Bernard and Michèle Bremont, Champagne Bernard Brémont vinifies just one vineyard: Ambonnay. Pinot noir and Chardonnay are combined in a wide range of 100% Grand Cru wines to suit all palates. Thibaut Brémont, the couple's eldest son and the house's wine artist for over 10 years, infuses his energy and vision into both the vineyard (HVE and VDC certified) and the wines, with the creation of limited-edition nuggets.

Jacques Beaufort's vines grow in Polisy and Ambonnay. Suffering very early from severe allergies to synthetic products, he converted his vineyard to organic farming in 1971: a quasi-revolution in a region where environmental issues were not yet a concern. His wines are full of finesse and tension. We particularly enjoyed tasting Polisy Brut Millésimé, a 50% pinot noir, 50% chardonnay, biodynamic perfectly chiseled.

Coming from a long line of winegrowers, Éric Rodez carries on the family tradition with love and respect for the land. The estate is certified HVE (High Environmental Value). His vineyards stretch along the Ambonnay-Bouzy hillside, while the three production sites (presses, winery and cellar) are located in old Ambonnay. You'll be able to taste our Grand Cru champagnes after an instructive visit, during which you'll admire the two traditional presses, the pressing center, and the oenology and dressing rooms.

Champagne Billiot has existed since 1937 but it is in 1960 that Champagne H. Billiot & Fils was born in 1960 when Henri Billiot invested and created the cellars on the Place de la Fontaine, placing his buildings in the center of Ambonnay. It is now Laetitia who operates and manages the Domaine, proud to be the heir of these passionate experts whose standard she has taken over with a firm hand. The Domaine H. Billiot & Fils estate covers 5 hectares of vines and produces 6 beautiful vintages. To be discovered!

It was in 1875 that the Marguet Bonnerave house was born in Ambonnay, under the impulse of Emile Marguet. Since 2005, the house is called Marguet Père et Fils, and it is Benoît, from the fifth generation of winemakers who is in charge of the domain today, a vineyard cared for in biodynamics, phytotherapy and aromatherapy, with work of the soil with a draft horse since 2010, for the better being of the earth. The house concentrates its efforts on a limited number of cuvées: Shaman, Shaman Rosé, Chouilly, Amboniacus...

What a pleasure to be able to taste Patrick Soutiran's wines! For five generations now, the winegrowers have succeeded one another in this beautiful domain located in Ambonnay. So obviously, the wines produced do not fail to their reputation and are regularly awarded during competitions. A beautiful range is proposed to the champagne lovers, among which we find a very solid cuvée blanc de blancs Premier Cru, aged in cellar between 24 and 36 months.

The house, located in the Ambonnay terroir, traces its origins back to 1909. Today, Arnaud carries on the family tradition, which has lasted for 4 generations, and offers a range of 7 champagnes: Brut tradition, Blanc de blancs, Blanc de noirs, Rosé, Grande réserve, Intégral and a 2013 vintage; as well as a red Ambonnay and a ratafia. All of these delights can be enjoyed in the comfort of Chez Marie, her bed & breakfast, a Champagne house dating from 1820.
