This village of 500 inhabitants was a Mecca of Protestantism, until the repeal of the Edict of Nantes and the destruction of the temple in 1685. The municipality also had a strong weaving activity. A very popular cloth was produced there and made its fortune. That is why, in this basin, the houses warmly enclosed around the Saint-Médard church offer such a character. A 4.5 km long memory path commemorating the November 1944 acts of resistance in the area is located at the start of the village. To see: the artisanal distillery of the Pays d'Othe, which produces brandy, ratafias and French whisky.
