Run by passionate volunteers, this museum is a must for military history buffs. Behind a discreet façade in the heart of Périgueux, the Musée Militaire du Périgord houses over 13,000 objects, bearing witness to conflicts from the Middle Ages to the present day. Uniforms, weapons, insignia, documents and personal souvenirs offer a unique insight into history, with a focus on the Resistance, the Deportation and Périgord's regiments. A store completes the visit.

Open all year round. Except on public holidays. Monday to Saturday, 2pm to 6pm. For groups, on request, at other times. Free admission for children under 18. Adults: €6. Groups (10 people): €3. 3 € for Ministry of the Interior staff. Guided tour. Store.

Un accueil plus que chaleureux et une personne à l’accueil pleines d’histoires très intéressantes.
La visite se fait en 1h environ si on regarde chaque vitrine.
Le musée en lui même est impressionnant, c’est un lieu inondé d’histoire avec des pièces rares et fascinantes.
