An English-language bookshop in the heart of Périgueux, open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, Boukie's Bookshop offers English-language books in all genres and for all ages (books can of course be ordered). The bookshop also serves as a café, and offers slices of English cake to accompany your reading. What's more, the American bookseller offers English courses for those who would like to learn or improve their English.

Boukie's is really three different things:
A place to get new release and second-hand English books, including a great middle grade / young adult fiction and children's section.

The cultural diversity within the bookstore is magical! In the same space there are people of different nationalities such as Japanese, Brazilians, Irish, English and French all using English for communication. A welcoming and unique place!
David and Quitterie are charming and are always looking to provide the best service for their customers who almost always end up becoming friends. It’s my favorite place in Perigueux, everyone is welcome, all ages and nationalities have space inside Boukie’s!
