Franck Merlier does not make a lot of noise but the deli in the heart of Nontron works very well. The place is quite unusual with its old-fashioned shop. The products are mainly local ones and made in a traditional way with good recipes of yesteryear, whether they are sweet or savoury. You can taste very good regional wines carefully chosen by the owner, the Northern beers and spirits. There is also dairy products and thirty cheeses from the region including some organic goat as Saint-Romain. The must is of course the inevitable brie with truffles. Franck Melier prepares at the request of customers, gourmet baskets filled with goose foie gras or duck terrines, rillettes, confit, truffles, etc. Even more: it delivers throughout France.
