Charming half-timbered house in Amboise offering the best tables nearby with a small courtyard

Located in the heart of downtown Amboise, this charming half-timbered house, with its ^15th-century cachet but ^21st-century comforts, was first a boarding school for young girls, then a laundry (a stream runs beneath the hotel), and later the home of Amboise's blacksmith. We love the ^{seventeenth-century} breakfast room, and the small inner courtyard. Bérengère and Damien are charming, always attentive to their guests' needs, and can suggest the best restaurants nearby. The rooms are comfortable, a Futée address.

In the heart of downtown Amboise, Le Blason, a small hotel on a human scale, invites you to take a journey through time in a charming half-timbered house from the 15th and 17th centuries. First a boarding school for young girls, then a laundry and finally the house of a blacksmith until the Second World War, our house of character combines today the charm of yesteryear and modern comfort with its 27 renovated rooms in a warm atmosphere.

Once you cross the threshold of the hotel, the royal city of Amboise is at your feet... the castle and its gardens on the Loire, the Clos Lucé (Leonardo da Vinci's home), Château Gaillard, the market (the largest in the Loire Valley), not to mention the most beautiful castles of the Loire Valley, all within a few minutes drive.

Proche du centre, petite chambre confortable, murs à colombages et poutres apparentes, personnel très aimable, petit déjeuner buffet très bien.|Ambiance familiale et cosy. Attention, pas d’ascenseur.

le choix de cet hébergement, nous avions optés pour le gite des mousquetaires , ce fut rapide , j ai eu le propriétaire par téléphone quelques jours auparavant , très bon accueil verbal . et sur place rien à redire Excellent tant pour l'arrivée, le petit déjeuner que nous avons pris à l'hôtel le lendemain matin | Gite tout comme on les aime! ... |Félicitons ces propriétaires car ils sont à la hauteur!! Petit déjeuner sympathique et emplacement éloigné des rues les plus actives. Les salles de bains sont vraiment petites et mériteraient une étagère de plus pour poser les affaires, et les chambres surchauffent en été.

Beau petit hôtel, très pratique pour visiter la vieille ville. Salle de bain rénovée, petite mais fonctionnelle, chambre triple adéquate en espace. Dommage qu'ils n'abandonnent pas la tradition d'utiliser des tapis partout...
Petit déjeuner très bon et avec un choix plus qu'adéquat pour un 2 étoiles, espaces un peu 'trop petits'... mais ce n'est pas un gros problème.
