Push the large red gate and discover this completely renovated barn in the heart of Amboise, close to Richelieu Square… You will find 4 spacious and comfortable rooms, all equipped with bathrooms. A delicious breakfast, with gingerbread and homemade jams, will be served in the large room or, from the fine days, on the terrace with views of the beautiful garden. Apart from these guest rooms, Yveline Savin also offers lodging accommodation in a charming chalet with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room with a kitchenette, a dining area and a lounge with TV. It is nice to enjoy the softness of the Val de Loire in a country corner where the welcome is always at the meeting!

++ Location not too far by foot from the Château Royal d'Amboise and the Château du Clos Lucé.
++ Breakfast was a feast and delicious!
++ Our belongings were held before the room was ready. Not sure if this is a guarantee for all guests or if it was due to having the capacity.
++ Courtyard was pretty.

~~ This bed and breakfast was recommended by another B&B in Chenonceaux who did not know the owner of La Grange Amboise.
~~ I was traveling with a couple of family members who are fluent in French so we were able to book a room. Yveline shared with us a guide book that Rick Steves left behind. True to his word, some pages were ripped out as he used them for his travels. It was a treat knowing that a celebrity had stayed at La Grange Amboise!
Verdict
I would recommend staying here again if given the chance.
