LA CAPSULE

Beer bar
4.6/5
9 reviews

As soon as you enter, you love the all-wooden counter, which invites you to sit down and get lost in the reading of the draught beer choices displayed on a large slate board. As for the wall of bottles, it is the proof that here we know what we are talking about. Beware, nothing but the new and the exceptional. The selection is very precise and offers nectars brewed by the best producers in France. While beer is of course in the limelight, whisky lovers will not be outdone thanks, once again, to a careful selection of unique nectars.

CAFÉ SOCIETY

Wine bar
4/5
1 review

Located next to the Grand Square in a forgotten alley of the Old Lille, this address, almost hidden, is a true nugget. In this bar with New York's atmosphere of the 1930 s, everyone can find themselves, in the utmost discretion and decrepit. Inside, brick, cement, apparent beams and a superb golden copper bar. In the late afternoon or later in the night, we meet around a board board, listen to jazz concerts a glass of rum, whisky, wine or regional beer by hand. Anyway, you understood it, no prohibition here. At the Café Society we redo the world with a bit of nostalgia!

BABE

Beer bar

The Babe, worthy baby of the famous Mother, definitely honours the lineage! Here, always the same hype atmosphere that made the Mother's success, but a menu based on exceptional meat. With its huge room in the spirit of industrial butchery, its large tables and its 20 draught beers to enjoy and to accompany with generous boards, the place is packed at aperitif time. Deli meats and cheeses are selected from passionate producers and from sustainable livestock farming, mainly in France and the North. Their beer, Lil Babe, is even brewed at 800 m! A happy hour headquarters in the heart of the city not to be missed.

MOUSS TOUCH'

Beer bar

La Mouss Touch' is a family and entrepreneurial challenge. Adrien and Bertrand Villert are brothers. After business school, they opened this beer bar. In their beer library, they promote regional production and present dozens of beers from the North and Pas-de-Calais. Their father, Jean-Charles, is also involved in the adventure, because the Mouss Touch' is also and above all a micro-brewery. Jean-Charles had been brewing as an amateur for several years... Now he brews like a pro and the Daron's beer bears his name well. And to accompany these delicious hopped nectars, the Mouss Touch offers boards of delicatessen and cheese. A warm and friendly family bar.

LA PÉPITE

Beer bar

Created by Victor, Théo and Kamil, three childhood friends, La Pépite is a very nice bar-cantine. As for the bar, the three friends only offer local beers (although there are some Belgian beers!) and cocktails imagined by them, such as this thyme-infused gin...: strange at first but really tasty! As for the canteen, there is nothing but quality and above all, only local. The sweet and savoury delicacies are prepared by the best pastry-caterers in the area and put the region in the spotlight. As for the atmosphere, local DJs often come to thrill the ever-growing number of customers. A real success for this very nice address!

LA PLANQUE

Lounge bar

An intriguing name and an intriguing story for an insider's address shared like a secret! Because La Planque is hidden behind a back door in Vieux-Lille, at the end of a corridor and in the basement... Thanks to a neighbor who was warned of an imminent roundup by her German lover, this real hideout enabled many Jews to be hidden during the Occupation. Today, you can sip cocktails and draught beers, play beer pong or sing along to live karaoke... A warm and relaxed place!
