Operating non-stop all day long with variable schedules according to the season, the cable car connects Erice to Trapani in 10 minutes. The view from the cabins is breathtaking, especially at night, but don't be afraid of heights: several dozen metres separate you from the ground! In the event of strong gusts of wind, the cable car is stopped for safety reasons, please ask before planning your day in Erice. A must try because this trip is already a visit in itself and it's easier than parking at the top!

To reach Villa San Giovanni on the other side of the Strait from Messina, Sicily, you need to take a ferry. This company is state-run and associated with the Trenitalia train company. The journey takes 40 minutes, including the transfer and the 5-minute walk from Messina's main railway station to Messina Marittima, where the boats depart. For your convenience, the ferry timetable corresponds to the train timetable. There are departures every hour or so, between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Messine bus service centre for Milazzo harbour, count 30 minutes and less than € 5. Service all year round. Shuttles are more or less timed on the aliscafi hours, only the summer.
