ROSCOE'S HOUSE OF CHICKEN & WAFFLES
Read moreThe name says everything. This restaurant is an institution where traditional dishes from the South of the United States are served. Fried chicken, waffles and other dishes full of fat and sugar: we know it's bad for health, but it's so good! With good value for money, this formula attracts local musicians, the Afro-American community (especially families) and young students.
MOUND CASTLE
Read moreThis address does not need to make tons to impress, since it is already in a "castle", the one of the stars. It is indeed in this hotel that many celebrities from all over the world stay when they come to L.A.; the restaurant, accessible to everyone, is therefore full of famous heads. The cuisine is rustically inspired (duck confit with mushrooms, beef bourguignon, sea bass...) but remains elegant. Even if, in the end, no one really comes here exclusively to eat. We go to Le Marmont to be seen, especially if we work nearby, in Hollywood for example. Prices are not as high as we think.
POPPA JOE’S
Read moreThis cafe on Main Street is simply over time. Local ambiance and a full breakfast. Hunting trophés and western land atmosphere. Very photogenic!

Among its hot breads, beef is crowned with roquefort, bacon and caramelized onions. The bar has only very few tables, but the tail often rises in front of the door. Selection of beers varies with seasons: one more reason to wait. On the other hand, since alcohol is forbidden under the age of 21, we will have to leave the children at home!
MT WHITNEY RESTAURANT
Read moreA typical and cheap table. At the entrance, a humorous sign greets visitors: " Hot Beer. ! Food. Bad Service» (Hot beer. Poor food. Poor service). In reality, beer is deliciously cool, food is simple but tasty, and the service perfectly correct. Special mention for breakfast and meat (fried chicken, ribs or the inevitable hamburger). Finally, the décor, although slightly aged, is worth a detour, with hundreds of frames paying tribute to the death. A truly authentic establishment!
SEASON'S RESTAURANT
Read moreThe best restaurant in this small town of 2 000 inhabitants. Season's differentiates itself from its neighbours offering international and refined cuisine. Some tables have a nice view. Extremely tasty dishes, be it salmon, elk or traditional New York Strip Steak.

25 DEGREES
Read moreHere is an appropriate option if you really want to restore yourself directly to the Walk of Fame, just a few steps from the famous stars. This faux-old diner with glamor, with its half-circle red leather squares in half circle and black plastic chandeliers, serves huge portions of classic American cuisine, with a few healthy options, such as the kale chale salad and the grenade, very fashionable on the California coast. Burgers are correct - although the meat lacks taste - and sweet potato chips are exquisite.
L.A. MILL

Mill's sober and elegant design makes it a prime address. Ideal for brunch on weekends.

WATER GRILL
Read moreThe Water Grill is certainly the best place to eat seafood in L.A. Here the mix of tastes is the order of the virtuoso. The dishes are mostly based on seafood. The decor of the restaurant and the service do the rest: It is less easy to digest the addition, which will inevitably be salty.
THE RUNNING GOOSE
Read moreClose to the Hollywood Boulevard but nestled in the quiet side of a nearby street, The Running Goose is a valuable stopover during a day of sightseeing. The patio lights up in the evening around the flames of the central fireplace and dozens of suspended loupiotes. The kitchen follows the trend of Latin fusion with a good dose of creativity, such as with the cod churros (Salt Cod Churros). Most of the herbs and spices used are from the outdoor organic garden. Finally, the Hotel Café is just opposite, it is an excellent option for dinner before attending a concert.
ROSE CAFE & RESTAURANT
Read moreLocated between Santa Monica and Venice, this large modern loft serves as a restaurant, bar, café and bakery-pastry shop, just like that! Different spaces allow you to choose your environment according to your mood, although we recommend one of the three terraces of the restaurant. The kitchen is part of the decor and we have fun observing the skill of the cooks surrounded by steaming pots. The cuisine is typical of what is found in California with some Asian and Mediterranean touches for some dishes. Brunch is the attraction of the week and welcomes a rather trendy clientele but also families. Although there is space, it is advisable to arrive early or to book if you go there on a Sunday.

Valley
Read moreIt's the wine cellar of Sonoma Valley wineries that don't have the infrastructure to accommodate their customers. The wines on offer are organic or natural, but not exclusively so. The interior room and patio are rather basic, with wood, simple lighting and a shade sail outside, but pleasant. The cuisine is Mediterranean-inspired, using seasonal vegetables from the region. We recommend the spicy eggs with basil and the chicken with broccoli. For wine, Ashanta and Source & Sink are not bad!

The à la carte menu features simple, affordable dishes, with veggy, vegan and gluten-free options, prepared with a variety of toppings (seeds, etc.). Brunch at weekends.
