Some beautiful Italian specialities are on the map of this trendy restaurant, but accessible to everyone. The octopus of octopus, the Romans buccatini all'amatriciana and the delicious pâtes pasta, accompanied by garlic and eggplant. The kitchen is here straight, composed of fresh and seasonal products, finally quite close to Italian traditions, although the chef and the sommelier are pure texan products!

As at the previous address, you can eat meat cooked at the barbecue.

The plates are copious, the varied menu, the nice staff and the relaxed atmosphere, the only small hic sticks to meat, which, as one says, sometimes lacks tenderness. And that's a pity when it's a house specialty. Apparently, poultry is excellent, and even if it's a sin to eat chicken when beef is on the map for a Respecte who respects itself, many are jumping out!

This large, two-story restaurant is a bit of a misnomer. It has little to do with the automotive world, but rather with Mexico. The Latin music sets the tone. The menu confirms it, with tacos (US$ 11-14) and enchiladas (US$ 13). A practical address to fall back on in case of big crowds in the other restaurants of the district, or to eat in a few minutes. The decoration is a bit messy but it's a real American bar, with screens to follow baseball, basketball, soccer games...

Buffalo Rose is a good restaurant where you can stop through the city. His hamburgers are excellent and clean to a great deal. On the map, also dishes with tex-mex flavour.

Rigatoni's recently decided to open a second restaurant in the city and chose Corpus Christi Beach to do it. As its name indicates, the card is (too) Italian, with generous pasta dishes, fresh and cheap. The dishes of a sauce interspersed with wine and fried mushrooms are to be recommended.

Welcome to the Eldorado of Tex-Mex culture: a true Houstonian institution. Mexican dishes with a Texan flair are plentiful here. Their menu is extensive through breakfast, lunch and dinner, containing many options and chef's specialties. The Mexican-style calamari is very good. Since 1989, Picos has been known as "the home of the margarita shaker" and is famous for its high-end spirits, mixed with fresh juices and ingredients.

This Downtown restaurant is located right next to the Convention Center, and therefore hosts many private events. Large bay windows let pleasant light into this restaurant, which seeks to renew its culinary offering while always striving for improvement. The result is a rediscovery of traditional American cuisine, revised and corrected by the chefs. The desserts, which fuse flavors and culinary influences from around the world, are surprisingly inventive. They also offer a gourmet happy hour from Tuesday to Friday!

As far as the main courses are concerned, the price-quantity ratio is rather advantageous for the customer. Moreover, the menu warns: "You won't leave hungry". Indeed, they are generous with their portions. The house offers everything that can be prepared on the barbecue: chicken, pork chops, catfish, sausage... For dessert, you should not miss the Texas Pecan Pie, one of the specialties of the state. The atmosphere is also very authentic, with stuffed buffalo heads hanging on the walls.

This is the place to come for a good American cheeseburger. Salads, paninis and some desserts are also on the menu. This is one of the favorite places to eat in Galveston at lunchtime. As far as sandwiches are concerned, all combinations are imaginable and possible, with cheeses mixed with various salads and pieces of meat. The more the better. As they say, Texas likes it big ! If you're in the area at the end of March, they offer a 'spring' dinner with five courses.

With such a schedule, this small restaurant in the Dennys chain could only offer the three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. You should not expect large kitchen, but rather snacks and salads.

At lunchtime, the house offers a well-stocked buffet. In the evening it is lighter, with only salads and starters. From time to time, musicians come to the scene.

Located in North Dallas, in the Preston Valley Shopping Center, this restaurant is the city's best address for Indian food. The food served at India Palace is delicious and refined. The lamb dishes, such as Lamb Shaki Korma, are particularly tasty. Beer lovers will be amused to try out imported Asian lagers in quantity. The restaurant also features many gluten-free and vegan options. An exceptional menu that will make everyone agree.

In Corpus Christi, Japanese restaurants do not run on the streets. This address of the Downtown may also benefit from a lack of competition. It is difficult to say that sushi is good, they should be extra fresh in a city so close to water… they are quite disappointing. The rollers are better, however. It will also be necessary to think carefully, because inside the air air conditioning is thoroughly pushed. And in August, when it's wet outside, contrast doesn't forgive. In short, you are not forced to go…

A well-known restaurant in Houston, where meals are accompanied by concerts. Faithful to the blues and jazz in its beginnings, the house has grown to American varieties. The list of upcoming concerts is available on their website. A bar welcomes guests who do not want to eat and who only want to listen to music. Côté restaurant, the room is exceedingly elegant, with its parquet, bricks and large zébrés sofas, which is rather useless when you know that the restaurant is located in one of Houston's few ancient buildings, Old Rice Hotel. The concerts usually start around 19 h. On the menu, pasta and pizza, but also more refined dishes, such as excellent beef pieces. Vegetarian plates also available.

Opened since 2006, this house has had no trouble introducing some Catalan gastronomy in the main city of Texas. With its small arcades, its walls covered with a very hot yellow and its shelves surmounted by dozens of bottles of wine, one would think. Even more so, we would like to see the map even more. Catalan Food & Wine certainly won't agree with all budgets, but if a very good table had to be selected during a stay in Houston, it could be that one. The pieces of beef ribs made of paprika and accompanied by a pick, or fish stew are very convincing. Other preparations too.

A Japanese restaurant in El Paso! And it's not just sushi. Soups and teppanyaki (cooking on the client table) are also successes. The many beers are imported from Japan.

So close to the border, it would be a pity not to eat Mexican. L welcomes musicians almost every day. Good value for money.

In the Museum District, this cantine offers soul food - in other words, traditional Southern American cuisine. On the menu: ribs, oxtail soup, fried chicken and gumbo . A good place to sample the flavors of the region, with Houston as the border of Cajun country, neighboring Louisiana, and a southern cullinary culture quite different from that of the west. Plenty of fried ingredients to satisfy gourmets. A great way to eat cheaply and stay full into the evening!

A fairly new restaurant that's doing very well! A temple to inspired Mexican cuisine, with an emphasis on coastal and seafood products, Caracol is as pleasant and sunny on the plate as it is in its ambience and decor. A sparkling je-ne-sais-quoi that feels good. You'll find oysters, succulent mussels, tuna tacos, mouth-watering ceviche and grilled octopus. A highly recommended address for a delicious, flavorful meal, offering an alternative to the heavier, less fresh Tex-Mex.
