In the Museum District, this cantine offers soul food - in other words, traditional Southern American cuisine. On the menu: ribs, oxtail soup, fried chicken and gumbo. A good place to sample the flavors of the region, with Houston as the border of Cajun country, Louisiana's neighbor and a southern culinary culture quite different from that of the West. Lots of fried ingredients, satisfying gourmets. A great way to eat cheaply and stay full into the evening!
