In the charming hamlet of Feriolo, a handful of kilometers north of Baveno, this hotel-restaurant has maintained its good reputation for well over 50 years. This traditional establishment offers a classic cuisine that emphasizes the freshness of its produce. The menu features excellent fish specialties, thanks to the hotel's geographical location. Try the menu de la mer, with its black spaghetti served with the fish of the day, or the tagliatelle version... The hotel also boasts 14 modern, comfortable rooms.

In the heart of the Romano Romano, this stylish, contemporary restaurant with a refined garden and soft lighting offers a large, traditional pizza card. However, some freedoms are taken: pizzas with exotic guaranteed flavours.

FIAT, or Fate Infretta A Tavola (which could be translated as: hurry up and eat!). The tone is of course ironic and mocking in this osteria, symbol of the Lingotto district. Local workers and civil servants come here to have a bite to eat at noon, so the service is very quick. Nevertheless, the dishes remain very good and the prices more than correct. On the walls, photos, newspaper articles and old advertisements tell the story of the famous Italian car brand and the city of Turin associated with it.

Imagine an osteria where the waiters exchange jokes as they run around the room, where a plate of salami and gorgonzola is placed on your table as a welcome, and where the evenings always end very late, perhaps after tasting the homemade digestifs... This is the Osteria dei Colori, a restaurant with several pretty, colorful, candlelit rooms. Everything here is really very good, but don't miss the house specialty: chicche allo stracchino.

The Ettore Fico Museum in the north of the city is a beautiful space for creative gastronomy. In the spirit of its founders, it's a social hub, a meeting place open all day long, where people can meet over a drink or a meal, make plans, work, create... A variety of indoor and outdoor spaces offer the opportunity to enjoy modern dishes adapted to different dietary intolerances and preferences. Edit also produces its own beers, all unfiltered and unpasteurized.

Ideally located in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Il Tabisca offers excellent pizzas served on a wooden board with unrefined flour, which is easier to digest, as well as many Piedmontese and Sicilian gastronomic proposals. On the Piedmont side, a selection of mountain cheeses, typical cold cuts, traditional pasta(agnolotti, gnocchi...) and on the Sicilian side fresh fish: Beccafico sardines, moure alla messinese, pasta, tempura... A wide range of artisanal beers to accompany it all!

A large restaurant offering excellent local specialities. In the beautiful surroundings of the large room or terrace, or in the little alley (with a little cheaper food). You can book for weddings.

A small, unpretentious trattoria, with an old-fashioned decor, but one of the few in the heart of the village. It serves authentic family cuisine, with a menu that changes daily. There's not much choice, but everything is home-cooked, and the portions are hearty and tasty. The staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is very informal. A must-try if you want to rediscover the sensations and flavors of yesteryear and the generosity of transalpine dining. If you want to dine there, you'll need to make a reservation.

In this restaurant with its light wood decor and colorful tablecloths, you can enjoy local specialties at a reasonable price. Among the tastiest is polenta, a delicious local semolina served concia, i.e. with melted cheese, or with stewed meat. But perhaps you've already heard of it? If not, you can opt for excellent pasta served with sauces made with the famous Barolo wine or Piedmontese Castelmagno cheese, or one of the many pizzas. Very pleasant service. A great time.

In the heart of Turin's chic center, the decor of this small, long pizzeria is a little out of place... Here you can eat small pizze al tegamino, a Turin speciality of pizza cooked in a pan, at very low prices, and other economical dishes such as farinata (chickpea pancake), soft and tasty, sausages served with beans... While you're waiting to be served, take a look at the old posters featuring Snow White's seven dwarfs.

The owner, Walter Braga, an avid opera and jazz enthusiast, is the real attraction of this restaurant, whose atmosphere makes you travel in the past. Musical groups or a simple accordion can transform this place into a real café-theatre. Do not miss if you are looking for a frills place where you can taste the authentic traditions of Piedmont.

A very good restaurant-pizzeria, along the main street in the city centre, in a nice building. The chef offers a varied menu, from classic pizzas (which can be requested gluten-free) to Piedmontese specialities. The small summer terrace on the cobblestones makes it possible to increase the number of covers in good weather, because otherwise the room is rather exiguous. The service is fast, but really attentive and friendly. The little extra: the map which is translated into French to help in the choice of dishes to order.

Elegant ambience for this restaurant run by the Bovio family, one of Piedmont's oldest restaurant families. The wine list boasts over a thousand references - a dream come true for any connoisseur of the region's wines! Huge room with large windows or terrace overlooking the vineyards and old houses of the area, with a truly magnificent panoramic view. Wonderful cheese cart, top-notch staff, refined dishes making the most of local produce and beautifully presented... A luxury not to be missed!

Proud of its growing reputation, this village canteen has become a classy restaurant, and its recipes are a little more sophisticated than before. Yet, on the plate, the local flavors remain as special as ever. Don't miss the ravioli al sugo di Gavi, with its braised wine sauce... And, of course, the wine list is a marvel to behold. The service is perfect, either in the pretty dining room or in the garden. Highly recommended!

A friendly brasserie, a few steps from Piazza Cavour, that doesn't look like much when you walk past, but is well worth a try. The large, bright dining room and summer terrace are the perfect place to sample local specialties for lunch or dinner, including excellent risotti (with mushrooms, Barolo wine, gravy...), at very reasonable prices. Wood-fired pizzas, abundantly topped, also available gluten-free.

It's a large, modern space where the waiters speed through and where the Vercellesi family meets for lunch and dinner, and it's easy to see why... The wood-fired pizzas are good, and the prices remain very reasonable. Pasta, gnocchi and a number of meat and fish dishes are also served, in short, simple, nourishing local cuisine. It's the perfect place for a quick break, at lunchtime for example.

Davide Palluda, Piedmont's Michelin-starred chef, runs two open-air entities inside the Enoteca regionale del Roero: the All'Enoteca restaurant upstairs, and the Osteria dell'Enoteca, inaugurated in 2013, on the first floor. We tried theOsteria, whose prices are much lower than those of the restaurant, and highly recommend it. The regional gastronomic tradition is very well interpreted and beautifully presented, with a considerable choice of wines, all in a very pleasant setting. A great address!

Ideally located in the center of Alba, this restaurant offers dishes based on finely selected, cooked and presented products. Care is evident at every stage of your meal. Service is, of course, impeccable. A fine wine list, available by the glass, accompanies the meal. You can lunch or dine on the terrace at the foot of the cathedral, in a superb setting. The queen of the menu is, of course, the white truffle, Alba's specialty, a must-taste!
