This little theater has a very evocative name! It is ideally located in the heart of downtown, just behind the Place de Verdun. Close to several parking lots and bus stops, it allows spectators to come easily to attend a performance. In this little frequented street, the Comédie allows to spend a good moment, comfortably seated in the pretty room with 160 red velvet seats. The theater was built on the foundations of a former prison and inaugurated in 1935 by Sacha Guitry, who premiered his play La Fin du monde, created for the occasion. The work was financed by Georges Leygues, a politician born in Villeneuve-sur-Lot. He used his personal fortune. He died in 1933, never to see the work completed. Since 1998, the Théâtre privé des Salinières has been entertaining the Bordelais in the heart of the old town. Nearly 25 years of history, 280 red seats, 30,000 spectators every year, some twenty plays per season... The Théâtre des Salinières is also a troupe of actors who regularly go on tour to present the greatest successful French comedies. During the school vacations, shows for children aged 4 to 12 are offered during the day: an opportunity for the whole family to enjoy themselves and share a passion for theater.

With a capacity of 544 seats, Le Liburnia benefits from the latest technological advances in acoustics, lighting and staging. It was not until 1854 that the idea of creating a theater in Pau was first mooted. Closed in 1978 for safety reasons, it was reopened 11 years later by André Labarrère, who gave it a serious facelift, including the superb ceiling by^Mme Lacay-Burato. After a few twists and turns and some final renovations, it reopened its doors in 2016, and this little Italian-style theater is now the prestigious backdrop for Palais's cultural scene. The Théâtre Quintaou continues to evolve in its programming and organization. Now a recognized arts venue, it has even become an original cultural institution in the heart of Anglet. With a 791-seat auditorium (adjustable to 400), a multi-purpose stage with a 14 m opening, 7 dressing rooms with showers, this living space also houses another area dedicated to creation, rehearsals, broadcasting and exhibitions. A high-quality brasserie restaurant is open all year round on the premises.

In 1990, the Théâtre du Port de la Lune was inaugurated. In 2003, major renovations were undertaken, adding two new halls and four rehearsal studios (each measuring 100 m²). In 2004, the theater was renamed Théâtre national de Bordeaux en Aquitaine (TnBA). Created in 1921, the Fémina enjoyed its first hours of glory as a cinema. The first major refurbishments took place in the 1970s: the facade and lobby were given a facelift, the seats were upholstered in red velvet... At the same time, the stage was extended, as were the dressing rooms and orchestra pit. The program is varied, with theater, comedy, music, dance... Over the coming months, Bordeaux residents will be able to applaud a host of artists: Nora Hamzawi, Camille, Aldebert...

Directed by Claude Montagné and Sylvie Peyronnet for a few years, the Théâtre de la Chélidoine, 126 places, offers workshops for children, teenagers and adults, theatre and high-track reading. The scene also welcomes the entire year of actors from all walks of life, with varied and often surprising inspiration. Songs, music, clown opera, humour, are also part of the programming. The "Kelidouan'pass" at € 10 allows you to enjoy all year of preferential rates to attend the décoiffants shows of this original and refreshing theatre.

Bressuire's "scène conventionnée d'intérêt national", recognizable by its velvety bright red facade. Founded in 2012, Le Théâtre offers a highly contemporary, eclectic program of theater, dance and circus performances, including local nuggets (such as Yannick Jaulin, storyteller and enchanter, co-creator of Le Nombril du Monde, in Pougne-Hérisson) and leading national and international artists. A residential lab, it presents several in situ creations a year.

Guignol Guérin has been entertaining children and their parents since 1853. It is the oldest family of puppeteer-guignolists in France, now in its sixth generation. Shows take place all year round in the Parc Bordelais, depending of course on the weather. To mark its ^170th anniversary, the Guignol Guérin will be exhibiting part of its puppet collection at the Hôtel Ragueneau in Bordeaux from September 15 to 25, 2023. It will also present its history and offer traditional and interactive shows for young and old alike.

Théâtre de Gascogne brings together 3 local venues: Le Pôle in Saint-Pierre-du-Mont, Le Molière and Le Péglé in Mont-de-Marsan. The group's vocation is to present shows by local artists and regional companies, as well as national and international productions. This 100-seat theater has been offering immersive, intimate performances by the Angoulême puppet company for over 30 years. The passion of the actor-puppeteers is visible and contagious. The puppets and sets are made in the company's own workshop. The lighting and costumes plunge the audience into the unbridled universe of the theater's revisited fairy tales or original creations.
