At Café Mère Poule, two beautiful rooms with fireplaces and a sunny terrace create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Zinc is replaced by wood, and the bar blends into the old-fashioned decor. The place is ideal for a drink or a sweet break with homemade hot chocolate and dessert (chocolate cake, raspberry tart "like a big cookie"), or in aperitivo mode with its small board of 3 pâtés! In any case, don't leave without stopping by the cabinet of curiosities. We love the simplicity of this address.

Discover an adorable tea room in bright colors. In a cocooning atmosphere where sweetness is king, the menu of sweet delights takes us on a journey through tastes and cultures. Charming Iraqi Lana takes us on a discovery of her grandmother's recipes, including cakes, cheesecakes, cookies and oriental cakes. In pretty teapots, local teas from the Compagnie Coloniale are brewed, unless you prefer Turkish coffee with cardamom or a delicious hot chocolate. All served with a smile!

Housed in a large hangar on the Zone de la République, the Poitevin food court is on a roll, bringing together all ages and all publics: families, friends, colleagues. Under a garlanded sky, with its vintage decor, you can order a snack from one of the seven street food stands (burgers, tapas, wraps, crêpes... there's plenty to choose from!), pour yourself a beer from the giant 10-spout tapping machine, have fun, play games and dance. Every evening, a new event is proposed: sports, salsa classes, karaoke, dj sets... Republic Corner is the place to be!

Recently opened, this bright little coffee shop is a wonderful discovery. All day long, you can indulge in cakes, pastries and other gourmet pastries, such as the bacon roll with maple syrup. The drinks menu is a real eye-catcher, with delicious coffees and lattes, and especially a colorful Ice Tea Magic! On the savoury side, a number of world-influenced dishes are perfectly executed: subtly spiced shakshouka, creamy eggs Benedict, seasonal tartine on organic sourdough bread... Already our new favorite kitchen!

It's tea time in Montmorillon, and we're off to La Terrasse. In this cocooning place, Kim Stupple will satisfy your cravings for tea and English delicacies (carrot cake, scone...). We assure you, everything here is homemade! On this side of the bridge, there's a distinctly British accent in the air. The decor of the dining room is in keeping with the theme, very... green and flowery - lovely -, but what really appealed to us was the famous terrace overlooking the bridge over the Gartempe and the medieval town. And with that, how about a cup of tea ?

In the heart of downtown, the famous Café Brun is located. This atypical pub bar welcomes you in an authentic and friendly atmosphere which makes the success of the place. What makes Café Brun special? A nice menu with a wide range of beers, whiskies, rums and other spirits. The café is also known for its festive and lively evenings, punctuated by the sound of eclectic and quality music. Confirming its taste for music, the bar hosts weekly concerts by artists. You will find the musical program on the networks.

In this gigantic bodega inspired by the Basque country, the charm begins as soon as you enter. We appreciate the assortment of charcuterie and tapas to whet our appetites: the southern sun shines on our plates! The chef also offers dishes to order at the bar: pasta à la carbonara or with two types of salmon, burgers and home fries... Live music starts at 9pm, followed by DJs from 11pm. The drinks menu features beers, a wide selection of wines, and cocktails with or without alcohol. Enjoy in the dining room or on the large terrace.

THE trendy gourmet address in Parthenay, located in the Saint-Jacques district! Céline and Alexandre, the charming tavernkeepers, have set up their own delicatessen and beer and wine cellar in a half-timbered house: over 200 references of craft beers from around the world are beautifully displayed on the shelves. As well as tasting the beverages, you'll also find a wide range of delicacies and spreads. Follow the spiral staircase upstairs for a game of pool. Great atmosphere.

Installed in the Voltaire street, the Gersois Yann and Romain propose a beautiful French cooking. They bring the Bistrot Voltaire to life with fresh and local products and the menu evolves according to the arrival of fish and meat from Marassé (tournedos Rossini, veal sweetbreads...). The slate offers tempting suggestions and the desserts and sorbets are homemade (humm! the delight of pear shooter of vintage). On the wine side, nice signatures like Mouthes Le Bihan in Côtes de Duras. The restaurant has a summer terrace open from spring to fall.
