Welcome to Julie and Bertrand's home, in the former Relais des Voyageurs d'Airvault, nicely renovated. Behind the imposing porte cochere, a very nice terrace and its garden. In the kitchen, homemade snacks, and we must say that the recipe works! Midday and evenings, you swallow sandwiches, burgers, bokits. A cheap but good quality lunch formula will delight lovers of traditional cuisine. The house is also a bar: you can have a drink and a ti-punch on the terrace!

Arthur's Pub is worthy of a real Irish pub: wood panelling and brick walls, a large mahogany bar, three rooms, a darts game, a billiard table, beer (9 draught and 100 bottled) and whiskies. For the tapas aperitif and for lunch and dinner, simple brasserie dishes, à la carte or on the menu, such as fried mussels, pasta, hamburgers, beef tartars, orange-lacquered duck, pork cheek in wine sauce, cod steak au gratin with aioli sauce, Bavarian red fruit, almond tartar, etc. Every Tuesday night Happy Burgers à la carte. Saint-Maixent's party bar. Part beer bar, part cocktail bar, part shooter bar, it also serves homemade burgers, pokebowls and a host of tray-tapas. There's also a pleasant garden where you can enjoy a drink under the braziers and to the sound of electro music. The house is also known for its festive themed evenings: Christmas in retro sweaters, soccer match broadcasts, giant 1-2-3 sun, féria and mechanical bull. You can simply enjoy life while you wait for the Hacienda to give you a hard time.

Maxime Testa has opened his paintball business in a privileged location, on the shores of the Cauna lakes, fifteen minutes from Saint-Sever. Between tactical strategies and adrenalin, players (family, friends or colleagues) evolve in a natural environment, in the middle of the forest. Children aged 8 to 12 are welcome. All equipment is provided (mask, neck guard, hand guard, chest protector and wetsuit). There's a refreshment bar on site, and Maxime provides petanque balls, darts, a Mölkky and a giant Mikado.

In this charming tea-room, you'll find sweet treats concocted by Angela. The atmosphere is cosy, the decor soft and flowery, in pink and water mint. Originally from England, this mother of four offers her sobritish specialties, accompanied by a good cup of tea in real porcelain services. There are delicious scones, carrot cakes, cupcakes, shortbreads, banana breads, cookies and brownies, as well as smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream sundaes and savoury snacks for lunch (bagels, English muffins...)... The hardest part will be choosing!

The Cercle du Coin's aim is to (re)create social links within the commune of Ruffiac, but also with other surrounding communities. It aims to create a convivial space where everyone can contribute their ideas, initiatives and enthusiasm. The Cercle hosts cultural and festive events (concerts, film and documentary screenings, etc.), as well as board game evenings, cooking and computer workshops, and access to the municipal library...

Here, they share their love of the product and their great discoveries. La Source is also the place to be for cheese lovers. In the evenings, you can meet up for tapas and a canon. What more could you ask for: friendly bosses, quality products and a pleasant setting?

Pindères has seen the creation of a local business and a place for socializing. The café-grocery opened its doors in the village in 2023. An initiative and a realization of the Lugues association, which brings together Pindères residents around a place to live. Some twenty volunteers are committed to bringing this new store to life, and are on call to keep it open on a daily basis. The program includes workshops for children, board game evenings, and a counter where people can meet and chat.

A distinction must be made between the beach bar and the restaurant, which is open for lunch and dinner (reservations required) and features a short menu based on seasonal produce. From 9am to 1am, without reservation, the beach bar offers a wide choice of pizzas (prepared on site), seafood, a farandole of land and sea tapas: octopus à la galicienne, cod acras, terrine du vendangeur, BAO of pulled pork... And let's not forget the veggie recipes (falafels, honey-roasted camembert, truffle-roasted camembert...) and desserts. The view over the basin is superb. Enjoy it with a drink in hand.

In July and August, take part in "Urban Quest", a treasure hunt in the town of Sarlat, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm, by reservation.

Piha is like the Temple of Coffee in Bordeaux. Carefully selected and roasted specialty beans await you for a sublime tasting experience in all its forms. It's an open-air wine bar in the vineyards! Initially, Karina and Nicolas were able to welcome up to 250 guests, but after a 3-year break, the desire to do something different arose. Today, Domaine de Sentout is limited to around fifteen guests. Like a tiny guinguette, the privileged few who gather here enjoy a lovely evening while getting to know each other, as well as Karina and Nicolas, who will be delighted to talk to you about polyculture, agroecology and permaculture.

Carméninon is halfway between a café and a ceramics workshop, and is an invitation to conviviality around art and creativity.

On the art side, the idea is to choose a piece of crockery, from 5 to 50 euros, paint it, then give free rein to your imagination, during the 2h30 workshop, and pick up your work a week later, dipped in enamel and fired.

Escapia is an escape game present in 3 different regions and one of its establishments is located in Bergerac. Here, they offer classic rooms or what they call "escapiades", outdoor games to discover the surrounding towns. The classic rooms remain in the theme of the region, notably "In vino veritas". Opened before and after theater performances,Opus 34 is a bright and beautiful place, with a stage for Op'N'Mic events, a large bar and a terrace under the trees near the Sainte-Croix church. It's not the busiest place in the area but it has good reviews on the internet. We like the discounted price for students.

As the area is not overflowing with such establishments, this one is all the more appreciated. A poet, Sophie Haffner has self-published two books of poems, which she is happy to read at various poetry events in the Périgord region, as well as at public readings in various establishments. After years working in the publishing industry, she moved to Rouffignac, where she writes, edits and is a very active advocate for artists' rights in the region. It is the youth club of La Rochelle par excellence, a stone's throw from the Concurrence beach. This new beer bar on Place Gramont offers a refreshing stopover under the arcades, set back from the traffic lanes. In a former chapel restored in 1993 by over 2000 Guides de France, a concept unique in France was born: the Cabaret de la Fourmi Rouge. This remarkable transformation of the former Romanesque chapel into an incredible entertainment venue pays tribute to the young girls nicknamed the "Red Ants".
