FÉDÉRATION DÉPARTEMENTALE DE LA SOMME POUR LA PÊCHE ET LA PROTECTION DU MILIEU AQUATIQUE

Fishing

The Somme has many ponds and rivers that have always made fishing one of the most popular recreational activities in the department and one of the most popular tourist destinations. Indeed, 900 km of rivers and 6 000 hectares of marsh and water plans (one of the largest shrews ensembles in France) are an argument just like the précense of many fish species: Eels, pike, squash, carp, white fish, trout trout, sea trout and salmon… The departmental federation proposes workshops at the youngest destinations in Authie, Boves, Montdidier, Peronne, Ailly-sur-Noye and Albert, as well as numerous events and three popular competitions: the youth contest, reserved for fishermen aged 8 to 16, the veterans competitions for members over 50, and the federal competition. The federation brings together 18 AAPPMA in reciprocity.
