Every summer, the Grand Maris Park hosts the "Sportez-vous bien!" event, open to all and whose aim is to promote the practice of sports. Several sports are on the program: minigolf, archery, climbing or beach tennis. As for aquatic activities, you can try your hand at kayaking or paddling along the Somme. All these activities are completely free of charge. An excellent alternative for those who are not lucky enough to go on holiday or for those who wish to try a sport. The craze is so great that some sports clubs are seeing an increase in registration requests following the event. Is there a new vocation waiting for you?

Every edition of La Nuit des Arts organized by the city of Roubaix for over 10 years now has been a success. The event, which actually takes place over three days (on weekends), gives you the chance to visit some 50 typical and original cultural spaces, meet local artists and designers, and discover exhibitions scattered all over Roubaix. Museums, bookshops, galleries, shops and restaurants are all delighted to take part in this Nuit des Arts, a great way to bring art to life in all its forms!

Les Carillonnades is an international event showcasing the art of carillon playing. The festival spans three days, during which participants can enjoy carillon concerts with carillonneurs from all over the world. Concerts will take place on the carillon of the abbey tower or on a mobile carillon. To continue the festivities, there will also be exhibitions and activities for young and old. Last but not least, a craft market showcases local specialities and offers the chance to take home a souvenir.

This winter, the Tripostal will host an exhibition of international scope within its walls: the Vanhaerents Art Collection, one of the major collections of contemporary art in Belgium, will be highlighted in the context of the exhibition At the End of My Dreams. An evocative title for a bright and engaging exhibition that will introduce the public to eclectic pieces by emerging artists as well as big names in contemporary art, with genres as varied as painting, sculpture, photography or video installation.

Every beginning of July, the Course race takes place. In the programme: Two tests of 5 km and 10 km, intended for amateur runners and the most confirmed ones. If you want to add a competitive dimension to your workouts, this is probably the right time! So put the trainers and your brands… Ready? Leave!

Every summer, the castle of Barly opens its doors to the public for only a few weeks. No question of missing this opportunity to discover the neoclassical work of Barly. Guided tours are offered to visit the different rooms of the castle and find out more about its history. The castle park also deserves a visit, for a leisurely stroll in the shadow of the old trees. Covering 2,15 hectares, it houses an orchard and a beautiful water mirror where you can admire the reflection of the castle.

The Nord department seems to come alive particularly in summer: running enthusiasts, there's plenty to enjoy! On July 2, the commune of Aix-les-Orchies will be hosting the Aix'Capade, a friendly sporting event in and around the village. On the program: two routes of 3 km and 10 km, allowing everyone to exercise at their own pace. Put on your sneakers and join the 350 athletes expected on the day!

Prices : €6 and €8. Additional charge of €2 on site.

In mid-April, the commune of Lomme hosts the sporting event When Lomme Court; a chance! In the programme: a 500 m baby race, a 1,5 km children race, three 5 km tests (individual, couple, handisport) and a major 10 km race. According to your category and level, choose the challenge that best suits you, put the trainers and your brands… Loans? Leave!

Tariff: baby racing and children free; 5 km individual and pre-handisport: 6 €, couples: 11 €; 10 km: 7 €; hiking: 3 €.

On April 15, 2018, the Foulées printanières de Harly will liven up the streets of the commune from early morning. Following the success of previous years, the event will indeed be held again, to the delight of amateur and keen runners alike. The program includes several races: 450 m, 1,200 m, 2,300 m and 3,200 m for budding athletes, and 5 km and 10 km for long-legged runners, all on roads and in a natural park... Fun guaranteed! So choose the event that's right for you and get set... Ready? Get set!

From Place du Théâtre, your strides will take you to Rue Delansorne, while going around the nooks and crannies of the historic center of the town.

During the holidays of All Saints'Day, Hardelot sets up the Palais des Enfants on its central square, a Magic Mirrors (circus of the 1920s), in which are offered quality performances that delight the whole family are offered. The puppeteers and actors of all kinds parade through the streets, under the wondering eyes of children. Theatre course, training for budding magicians, puppet manufacturing sessions or cinema complete the programming of this crazy week, totally dedicated to children.

At the beginning of April, for a day, the municipality of Château-Thierry animates the rhythm of the semi marathon and 10 km of the Fables, a popular sporting event with several walking events. Depending on your tastes, your level and your motivation, choose between 21 km, 10 km, 5 km of race, and why not even 10 km walk. Young athletes will be offered two challenges adapted to their age. So put the trainers together and be among the many participants expected this year again! And above all remember: regardless of the final ranking, the important thing is to participate!

Strides, no less than seven races organized each April! Four for adults, three for children; It's very simple, there are all tastes, all ages and levels. 3 km, 5 km, 10 km or 22 km: Choose the test that suits you best, put your trainers together and join the 550 athletes expected that day. Meanwhile, the grass athletes, born between 2001 and 2009, will evolve on 100 m, 500 m or 1 km.

In addition to the presence of around a hundred authors, including winners of the major literary prizes, the fair organizes some fine encounters with, in particular, the Grand Prix de la Biographie Politique, the Prix des Jeunes Romanciers or the literary forums and other conferences and debates. Children's workshops have also been set up to allow parents to visit the fair in complete tranquillity. This book fair is the unmissable literary and cultural event in the heart of autumn.

The seaside resort of Côte d'Opale is transformed for a month into a real enchanted kingdom. Every year, the town of Le Touquet-Paris-Plage offers a string of illuminations throughout the town, two large open-air skating rinks with a beginners' and experienced skaters' area, themed walks, horse-drawn carriage tours, a mini-club for children (Le Touquet Resort Kid), shows for young people and a Christmas market. Hotels and shops also offer special offers. Enough to make you forget a Christmas in the mountains and prefer a Christmas by the sea!

The Rameaux Faire is a great living room for open agriculture. The farmers in the surrounding area leave their most beautiful animals (horse, horses, etc.) for a parade, competitions or demonstrations of training. Some animals invade the heart of Bergues. Rutilantes agricultural machines are displayed on the streets of the squares. A gourmet village and an elegant exhibition complete the visit.

By mid-March, the commune of Montigny-en-Gohelle welcomes the sporting event Run in Montigny every year. To the program: five road races, 1 km, 3 km, 10 km and 21 km for the most experienced. Choose the course that best suits you, wrap your shoes, and join the 750 participants at this friendly challenge! Awards will be distributed to all athletes, and awards will reward the best. But whatever your ranking, remember that the important thing is to participate!

For the past 13 years, these two festive evenings have been a great opportunity to rediscover this beautiful music from Scotland, Ireland and Brittany. La Nouvelle Salle has been hosting the festival since 2023, and audiences are immersed in a different universe, savoring the experience and returning in greater numbers every year. Extend the pleasure outside with the Celtic village, offering typical objects, local products, clothing and plenty of places to eat. It's a great opportunity to introduce your youngest visitors to the sounds of Irish flutes and bagpipes!

In partnership with the city of Amiens, Chemins en Somme organizes every year a hike to discover the main attractions of the city, enjoy the illuminations and the Christmas village with its 130 chalets. An excellent way to discover the city in a different way. As the pace is free, the departure is at a specific point but within a wide time range. The route even passes inside the cathedral! An ecocup and a snack are offered to all participants, accompanied by mulled wine of course! The route ends with the Chroma show.

Pioneer in the creative industries, Lille never ceases to surprise us, as with this magical festival dedicated to Video Mapping. Artists from all over the world let their creativity explode in breathtaking animations designed to sublimate the most beautiful monuments of the city. Monumental, immersive or interactive mapping, this art is multiple and transports you out of time and space. If the festival opens in Lille, it then continues in the regions until October 2023 with new videos specific to each city and territory.

Over nearly 10 days, around 300 exhibitors will showcase their products, spread over several universes: housing and furnishings, wines and local products, beauty and well-being or outdoor spaces. An agricultural village allows visitors to discover the professions of agriculture and to taste dishes prepared with local products. Shows and entertainment are also on offer at the fairgrounds. Every year there is an influx at the Hippodrome d'Amiens, often renamed "le Petit Vincennes de Picardie"! A cult cinema event enjoyed by thousands of spectators, the CineComedies festival returns for its 6th^edition , with comedy screenings, meetings and book signings for all audiences, scattered across Lille. This year, the honors will go to comedian Michel Serrault, one of the pillars of French cinema. An entire exhibition will be devoted to his world and career, from his legendary duet with Jean Poiret to his greatest film collaborations. How about it? Will you be there?

The town is reconnecting with its past and becomes once again the medieval city from which William the Conqueror set out to conquer the throne of England. During two days, discover the daily life of a medieval village of the Norman period through a camp, and witness the work of leather, bone, horn, wood but also metals, foundry, blacksmithing, weaving or cooking. For its 40th edition, don't miss the acrobats, fire-eaters and fire jugglers and, above all, the parade with its period costumes.

Among all the ecological events organized in the region, Roubaix's sustainable Christmas market is always a success. And with good reason: combining sustainability and respect for the environment with the magic of Christmas is a winning combo today. Over forty chalets host local exhibitors showcasing their eco-responsible creations made from recycled materials, amid playful themed workshops and 100% recycled decor!

The Jules Verne has become the flagship event for all joggers (Sunday or more experienced) and enjoys great popularity. The race is open and accessible to all and offers courses in the city centre. The atmosphere is always guaranteed. The roads are blocked for the occasion and the town fills up with running enthusiasts for a day. A mixed 5 km or 10 km men and women are waiting for you. These last distances are qualifying for the French championships, so you will be able to compete with very good athletes. Even children can try their hand at a 1 km course with "La Petite Jules Verne". Everyone has his own challenge!

Saint-Valery-sur-Somme has a rich history as a fishing port, so it is only natural that it celebrates the sea every summer. On the occasion of this festival, the very typical fishermen's quarter (the Courtgain) is transformed to pay homage to the missing sailors. The facades of the houses are then covered with 2,000 m of nets and multicoloured flowers. All kinds of events (exhibitions, concerts, procession and sheafing at sea, etc.) also await visitors. A local festival not to be missed!

This festival where theatre is in the spotlight is already more than 10 years old, proof of a real craze for culture in this charming little town on the Bay of the Somme. From the classics (Shakespeare, Guy de Maupassant...) to one-man shows and music scenes, the performances are diverse: something to delight all fans! In the streets, actors and musicians come to play as close as possible to the spectators. Theatre workshops, led by professional actors, are also offered to adults a few days before the festival.

In 2019, the 1st edition of the festival attracted 13,000 spectators. A real success that the festival teams intend to repeat in 2020! This time, the edition should last two weeks with numerous animations, workshops and festive and animated evenings. Big names have been invited such as Alexandre Desplat and Jacques Audiard, but the big event not to be missed will be the exclusive French screening of Skyfall at the Zenith on November 25th. James Bond accompanied by a symphony orchestra: that's a promise! Other events in association with large structures such as the NPO will be organized. The Ciné-Concert festival has not finished making us dream!

The 2024 edition of this fireworks competition will feature the Silver Masters, with Finland, Italy and the UK competing. The winner will have the chance to take part in the 2025 edition, the Golden Masters, a final pitting the finalists from the 3 previous editions against each other. The pyrotechnic spectacle will be even more enchanting for spectators spread across the beautiful Compiègne racecourse. Such is the success of the event that you'll have to book several months in advance to find seats in the category of your choice. We can't wait!

Apart from its 180 attractions and rides that attract no less than 400,000 visitors every year, did you know that this fair is also the oldest in France? Indeed, the first fair would have taken place in the Middle Ages.

The fist ball is THE traditional Picardy sport. Practiced for more than 200 years in the region, this palm game pits two teams of 6 players against each other (5 for indoor practice). The rules will be explained to you during the game, sometimes even in picard! The goal is to land the ball (weighing a mere 500 g) in the opponent's camp, or better yet, to bounce it over the baseline. It's a mixture of a win-win game, with a fake volleyball air and a score close to tennis! You don't understand everything immediately... but it's a typical sport to discover, played in the Somme department by 800 licensees all the same!
