It's all new and it's really very, very impressive. While life-size puzzle games have been rampant in the capital for some time, this one far surpasses all records in this area. Judge for yourself: a 1,300 m2 building with 11 rooms and 5 levels! However, the place, called "The Escape Lab" is not only a game of confinement and reflection. You will also find a virtual reality experience that will lead you into space, the possibility of breaking plates (we don't tell you more!), solving literary riddles! Finally, a flat roof allows you to have a splendid view of Paris, and you will be amazed. To be tested, really!

You can let yourself be carried along and meander to the rhythm of the water and unusual encounters, with moorhens and coypu in mind! Several routes are possible. We navigate independently, equipped with a map that allows us to make the right turns at the forks. In option, you can be accompanied by a guide of the Regional Natural reserve of French Vexin.

LA FERME DE GALLY

Hobbies and other leisure activities
5/5
1 review

The farm is a safe value with the little Parisian. Little used to other types of animals than apartment cats, your children will probably be very enthusiastic about participating in the giant Easter egg hunt of La farm. This hunt has an advantage: it takes into account the age of the children involved. Thus, three-year-olds will not be in competition with those of seven, the age differential being too large and de facto, unfair competition. In addition to animals, this farm offers interactive workshops for children.

UNA VOCE FRANCE

2 reviews

Founded in 1964, at a time when the disappearance of Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony in the Catholic Church was being planned, Una Voce's purpose was and still is to promote the Latin liturgy, Gregorian chant and sacred art within the Roman Catholic Church. A bimonthly magazine without equivalent in the French-speaking world, a website, an online store exclusively dedicated to Gregorian chant, weekly radio programs... Other countries have similar initiatives, which led to the creation of the International Federation Una Voce, which groups together comparable associations in more than forty countries. Una Voce France is at the service of Gregorian choir conductors and choristers. It also intends to help all those who listen to, appreciate and promote Gregorian chant, sung prayer. At the end of 2021, this association will once again enter into resistance at a time when the Vatican wishes to eliminate the oldest, most patrimonial and most spiritual forms of the Catholic liturgy.

JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG

Jogging Running
4.5/5

Attention, the Luxembourg garden can offer the best as the worst to the runners. The best by coming early in the morning, the worst one sunny spring Sunday where the crowd will be too many to fully appreciate a good race slice. In Luxembourg, the simplest is to follow the garden tower to enjoy a sufficient distance and avoid the right angle turns, this allows to appreciate the watershed perspective with the magnificent Senate building. The famous green chairs of wrought iron, so representative of this garden, offer a pleasant stop after an unrestrained race. The attendance is cosmopolitan and, depending on the hours, we find a district atmosphere, a student and contemplative atmosphere, or a much more tourist and overloaded atmosphere. Among classic or more exotic species, you can enjoy the sculptures of Bourdelle, Rodin or Ossip for a succession of literary accents.

TSUNAGARI TAÏKO CENTER

Dance classes
5/5
2 reviews
Closed

Tsunagari means "link" in Japanese. The tone is set, indeed, this centre favours the link between body, heart and spirit through two Japanese traditional disciplines: the awa dance and the taïkos drums. Tsunagari organizes, from Tuesday to Saturday, awa dance classes for adults and children (it's also possible to come with family) and traditional drum classes (taïko). All this is closely related because the taïko is a drum carved in the trunk of a keyaki (Caucase elm) which by the strength, the resonance and the power of the sounds it produces makes the whole body and also the soul vibrate. Its practice extends far beyond the boundaries of musical learning since it develops vitality, well-being, suppleness… It should be said that Tsunagari Taïko Center advocates the ancestral principle of the anchor named hara, which tends to manage energy at the pelvis level. As for awa or awa-odori dance, it is danced to the rhythm of the taïkos. It is a dance that is more than 400 years practiced by all during the celebrations to the ancestors, it is joyful and simple, it is also called the dance of the crazy. This folk dance is emblematic of the great festival of Tokushima and allows to welcome the souls of the Day of the dead in July-August. Classes are taught by Ayuko Yonemura, who has practised the dance and the music since childhood, when it comes to Cola Bonnan, he has a strong experience of taïkos in France and in Japan, and longs for creating a better world for men and their environment. Tsunagari Taïko Center also offers, in addition to courses, conferences, discovery workshops for children and adults, indoor or outdoor concerts, as well as weekend training courses in Paris or in the provinces.

LE PALAIS DE LA DÉCOUVERTE

Astronomy
4.4/5
19 reviews

It was Jean-Baptiste Perrin, a renowned scientist who received the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1926, who was behind the design of this Palace of Discovery in 1934. A palate that is very symbolic and known from France, especially thanks to the presence of its famous planetarium. The Discovery Palace aims at showing the public, necessarily neophyte, «the science in the process of doing», that is to say, to remove the science from its confidentiality to bring it to the whole. Initially planned for not continuing, and when he had to close in 1937, his success decided the government of the day to perpetuate and link it to the University of Paris 3. It was from the 1970 s that he gradually became the palace we know today, with his fun and interactive exhibitions that enjoy so much from 7 to 77 years. Since 2010, it has been regrouped with the Cité des sciences et de l 'industrie within Universcience.

The Discovery Palace is first and foremost a beautiful building! Set on 25,000 m ² in a part of the Grand Palais (this also explains this), the visitor feels right at his own ease, especially when he finds out the magnificent lobby and its "amount" to knowledge. The planetarium that interests us first, is undoubtedly the symbol of the palace and also its most famous division… The dome on which the celestial vault is projected and the images measure 15 m in diameter. The sessions lasted an average of 45 minutes. The fidelity of the sky is quite remarkable: some connoisseurs even bring their pair of binoculars to observe some celestial objects (galaxies or nebulae) lying here in the meanders of constellations. And when you get out of such a show, you can't go back to earth! It should also be noted that access to the planetarium qualifies for visits to exhibitions and other scientific discovery departments. To attend the sessions, it is generally imperative to book in advance (possible from the online ticket box), due of course to the constant influx of visitors (we are in the middle of a tourist area).

CENTRE DE DANSE DU MARAIS

Located in the very heart of Paris, this centre appears to be a must-see place. The whole of Paris crowds there to participate in dynamic and very professional courses. All ages meet in a good mood and sometimes (it must be admitted) in a hubbub. Many types of dance are offered: classic, African, eastern, via flamenco or hip-hop. The halls are of large space but, despite this, participants sometimes squeeze themselves together. It is better to make inquiries with teachers to know more quiet hours and avoid the crowd. Teachers come from a variety of backgrounds. If you watch TV reality shows, you should recognize some of them. For curious sports enthusiasts, you can also try the sports courses (martial arts for example), singing or theatre lessons. The prices are reasonable: on average €18 per session.

It's a place of superlatives, sure to be adored by thrill-seekers. Aerokart offers two distinct activities: firstly, karting on an indoor circuit measuring 9,500 m², 900 m long and 7 to 9 m wide, for easy overtaking and lively competition. For youngsters, there's a special section of the circuit dedicated to smaller machines. Then there's freefall. No, we're not talking about flying off the roof, or even parachuting. Here, you'll enter an incredible wind tunnel, a cylinder 4.80 m in diameter and 7 m high, where no fewer than 12 engines are running at full speed to give you an incredible experience. And, of course, you'll get the best possible guidance and advice. On the price front, it's true that freefall comes at a price, but an audacious pricing structure means you can get by without too much financial damage, as the venue claims to offer the cheapest freefall minute in France - and frankly, the experience is well worth it. The club, which has the reputation of being the most posh in France, has existed since 1882! With forty-eight outside ones, of which are in the beaten land, they come back to the heart of the Bois de Boulogne. Selection at entry is severe: you must be sponsored by two members of the club to hope to play, and, in addition to the contribution, pay a fee of 2 000 € for those under 6 200 and € for those over years of age. At this rate you can also enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and gym. Myth has a price, don't forget to keep a budget to buy your balls.

The roller-park of Bercy, one of the most visited of the capital, is first taken by the eyes. The latter is immediately captured by the power of the dozens of graphics that adorn the walls and feed the place with a unique underground urban atmosphere. 3 ramps and 8 modules create an ideal playground for all lovers of skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX, in short all aesthetes of sliding, figures and aesthetics. Hidden in the shadow of the Palais Omnisports de Paris Bercy, its access is free, and is done in the Parc de Bercy.

Porcelain painting is an art that demands thoroughness and patience. Florence Vialard, in his shop-shop Le Chambrelain, will communicate to you his passion and reveal many secrets. Family history and atypical route for this former computer engineer who has swapped the keyboards for the brushes 15 years to follow the footsteps of his mom. Round brushes, putoiser, threading, brushes, oxides, wide choice of pigments… are used in traditional methods to decorate straight porcelain pieces from Limoges. Florence offers courses all levels (from 14 years old) but also visits and sales of handmade pieces in its lovely boutique.

LA PACHANGA

Dance classes
4.1/5
26 reviews
Closed - Open to 19h00

There's nothing trendier than taking your Latin dance class in the middle of a restaurant! Parisian women know that. More and more of them are going to Pachanga, this bar-restaurant-club in the 14th arrondissement. The festive atmosphere and the handsome boys are always there. The food, the setting, the music... Everything reminds me of South America. Every day, from Monday to Sunday, classes are given. Check with the school to find out the days and times for each level because it is best to warn you: if you have never taken a course before, don't expect to be able to follow a course with "confirmed" students. Once the class is over, the dance floor is open and everyone can enjoy themselves. In such an atmosphere, one progresses relatively quickly. Subscriptions give access to the salsa class and the club without limitation. Muy Caliente!

KI KEN TAÏ KARATÉ

Combat sports and martial arts
4/5
14 reviews
Closed - Open to 09h00

What is more reassuring when one enters a karate club than has a former world champion of discipline? This is the case in Ki Ken Taï Karate where Jacques De, the boss of the scene, took in 1986 in Sydney the individual gold medal, a semi-heavy category. Thus, the dojo's reputation is no longer to be done. Since 2009, members have been up to follow the teachings of the master, and few are disappointed. It's one of the most beautiful dojos in the capital, with a truly pleasant Nippon air. The master considers his art intrinsically linked to Japanese philosophy. Practitioners at any level can come from the yellow belt to the black belt. One of the best addresses of this kind.

PISCINE DE LA GRENOUILLÈRE

Swimming pools
3.6/5
5 reviews

This pool is worth a visit! At the southern end of the Parc de Sceaux, and yet in the commune of Antony, the swimming pool of the Grenouillère, discovered, is open from mid-May to early September. There are no less than three pools at your disposal here: the first, Olympic, has dimensions (50 x 21 m) that will make it a good swimming area. The second, 21 x 15 m in size and no deeper than 1.30 m, is dedicated to learning. The last one, called the "diving pit", allows you to jump into almost 4 m of water, from three different diving boards: sensations guaranteed, and the children love it! A solarium completes the complex, which is very popular. A word of advice: the place is less saturated early in the morning. Finally, note that the Departmental Council, which has owned the premises since 2016, will launch a vast programme of major works in 2021, since it will involve nothing less than completely rebuilding this beautiful space. So we take advantage of it!

The Marsaudière had only a few inhabitants in the early nineteenth century. She then belonged to Baron Petit de Beauverger, a former prefect, anobli by Napoleon I. He had his country house built in these places. Set in the area of this ancient residence, the golf de la Marsaudière offers a 9 hole course (35), 2,740 m long, a particularly pleasant and wooded environment that allows both confirmed golfers and beginners to enjoy pleasure. The site also has a restaurant with 52 seats and 3 seminar and banquet rooms (for 20, 60 or 100 people). Open at noon, the restaurant allows golfers to relax before or after a journey.

QUAIS DU CANAL SAINT-MARTIN

Jogging Running
4/5
1 review

All year round, the Valmy and Jemmapes wharves along the Saint-Martin Canal are reserved for pedestrians on Sundays between rue des Écluses-Saint-Martin, rue des Récollets, rue Louis-Blanc, rue Alexandre-Parodi, rue Robert-Blache and the corner of rue Bichat. Enjoyed by the booties and trendy people of the capital, this district is teeming with bars and restaurants that rival each other in their decorative efforts, lining up charming little terraces where it is pleasant to think you are in a provincial village. Before comfort, effort can occur on the 4.5 km that connect the bassin de la Villette to the port of l'Arsenal. Inaugurated on 4 November 1825, the Saint-Martin canal prevented boats from crossing Paris by the meandering Seine, by connecting the Ourcq canal to the Seine. The old-fashioned charm of the locks works perfectly, and the metal walkways with wooden steps offer an extra effort opportunity for the more sporty. The bravest will continue their journey towards the 19th arrondissement as far as La Villette via the Loire and Marne quays, along the Villette basin and the Ourcq canal.
