Created in 2020, the Rosa Bonheur Festival is an event dedicated to women's creativity and heritage. The venues are well chosen, to say the least, offering moments of escape, a unique experience far from the hustle and bustle, in a setting that was the artistic laboratory of the famous painter and a space dedicated to her many guests, feathered, furred and scaled. A heritage that comes to life every summer in the form of classical (and other) concerts to be enjoyed in the open air, projections in the forest and poetry to be heard in the shelter of a small ^18th-century pavilion.

Every year, Pierrelaye hosts its annual town festival. The unchanging program allows locals to enjoy a day full of good cheer! Each year, a theme is chosen for an afternoon of celebrations and various demonstrations, during which cultural and sporting associations are given pride of place. In the evening, a traditional meal is served, followed by a torchlight procession, fireworks and a funfair. All in all, an unmissable part of local life, a convivial moment for all as summer approaches.

This not-to-be-missed event takes place in the cultural venues of Plessis Bouchard in March and April, and has become a benchmark for many. Around a given theme ("Excellence and Performance" for the year 2024), a dense cultural program is offered: music, dance, exhibitions, street art, conferences and many other events are held, the arts sometimes meet in unexpected encounters and the public is the first beneficiary.

Every July, the Douve Blanche festival takes place in Egreville. Created in 2016 by the musico-culinary collective Animal Records & Kitchen, it's an original way of combining music and gastronomy for a weekend, in an extraordinary setting: under the ramparts of the historic château. For its ^10th year, in 2024, the festive event will bring together a number of artists, including Vitalic, Sierra, Bagarre, Kendal and Angie & Lazuli. Live performances, DJ sets and why not a feast to be savored in 5 stages. What else?

Le Petit Cormier is a charming boutique that's all about diversity. Primarily a tearoom, it's the perfect place to enjoy a delicious seasonal ice cream over a cup of tea or fruit juice. It's also a gallery showcasing the work of local and Parisian artists. In addition to exhibitions of paintings, sculptures and photos, there are warm-hearted events such as mini-concerts, readings and various convivial workshops. Strolling through the premises, you'll also discover a delicatessen and decoration section.

A former dairy farm built at the end of the ^19th century in a superb industrial style, since the 1990s Ferme du Buisson has become a cultural mecca in Seine-et-Marne, bringing together a variety of theaters, cinemas and open-air exhibition spaces. On the program: eclectic exhibitions, classic or atypical plays, festivals, films, etc. The website provides precise program information. On a Sunday in May, the area around the Carrefour des 4 cèdres becomes the setting for the start - and finish - of several mountain bike races. Grouped together under the name "Le Pont du Diable", these include three events: one dedicated to competitions for licensed riders, another called "Loisirs" and the last is not really a race, but rather a family rando open to all. Several events punctuate this highly successful sporting day.

In honor of Saint Fiacre, patron saint of gardeners, Coulommiers and the Horticultural Society organize the biennial Fête des Fleurs on the second Sunday in September. The program features flower-decked carriages and a country-style menu in the heart of the Parc des Capucins. A wonderful festival, with mass, musicians from the Lyre Briarde, Newfoundland dogs and many other surprises, as well as an autumn market with macaroons, meringues, gingerbread, goats, Bries de Coulommiers, wicker baskets, fruit, vegetables and, of course, plants, trees and flowers...

This beautiful, modern establishment is one of the city's leading cultural venues. Here, the focus is not on any particular art form, but rather on eclectic programming, ranging from theater (contemporary and classical) to dance, magic, comedy, concerts and circus. Regular meetings between artists and the public are offered. The venue and its facilities can also be used as a residence for artists.

It's a cultural event in the broadest sense, taking place not only in La Frette-sur-Seine, but also in Herblay-sur-Seine and neighboring Andrésy. Now in its 10th year, Les Spiriades is a festival of music in all its forms: concerts follow one another in a variety of styles (classical music, accordions, piano) and in many different forms, from film concerts to musical cruises and cabaret performances. Young talents are also featured.

The pretty, narrow rue de la Petite Range, right in the heart of Herblay's old town center, is known for having one of the smallest theaters in the area! The aptly named Théâtre des Anges seats just 30. Intimacy and closeness to the artists are the order of the day, whether for singing or comedy, for example! Last but not least, classes can be taken here with Tatiana Kecojevic, and the venue can be privatized for your own events. There's no shortage of reasons to come here!

This annual event is open to both budding and established authors. In existence for over 20 years, the Bessancourt short story competition is open to all, and the principle is simple. Based on a given theme ("A ton image" was the theme for the 2024 edition), you give free rein to your inspiration and put down on paper a calibrated text. The jury, which includes a well-known industry president, will give its verdict a few weeks later!

In 2023, the very first arts and crafts show took place in Noisiel, at the Ferme du Buisson, for three days, during which 25 Seine-et-Marnais craftsmen showcased their precious skills: ceramists, jewelry designers, a bronze-maker, metal enamellers, upholsterers, weavers, model-makers, leatherworkers, a gilder, a woodturner and a bronze-maker... In addition to sales, there were workshops and technical demonstrations to delight lovers of beautiful, well-made things, between ancestral gestures and innovative techniques. A real treasure trove!

The magnificent setting of Parc Launay is the setting for this annual day dedicated to painting. Starting at 9 a.m., the artists will take to the canvas to paint the surrounding countryside, and their creations will be exhibited at 5 p.m. In the meantime, while they're busy creating, the artists will be sharing their work with the growing number of visitors each year. At the same time, the town's cultural department will provide the children with painting equipment. At the end of the day, prizes will be awarded for the works created during the day.

Held for the ^41st time in 2023, this is undoubtedly one of the most important children's book fairs in the entire region. The packed two-day program features countless activities and workshops (from fun to sports), as well as meetings with artists and authors. There are dozens of artists and authors from all the major publishing houses. The whole event is completely free of charge: not to be missed.

The Foire de la Saint-Jean has been held in Nemours since 1948. Its location, at the crossroads of four départements, makes it a major annual event, with numerous exhibitors, including local producers and craftsmen showcasing their skills, as well as outside entertainment (parades, music groups, etc.) to ensure maximum conviviality. A great way to discover the heritage of the Seine-et-Marn region and the town of Nemours.

Every spring, the sumptuous grounds of Château de la Motte in Lorrez-le-Bocage welcome horticulturists and nurserymen. They come laden with trees, ornamental shrubs, old roses, perennials, climbing plants... In addition to the plants of your dreams, you'll also find gardening tools, nesting boxes, garden furniture, local produce to enjoy and all the maintenance advice you need to make your plants even more beautiful. The little ones won't be left out either, with a variety of on-site activities.

This municipal theater is one of the finest in the area. Its vast and plentiful program means there's something for everyone to discover or rediscover. For the current 2023-2024 season, no fewer than 11 plays, 13 musical, visual, dance or circus shows and the appearance of 3 comedians (including Sandrine Sarroche and Fabrice Eboué) have punctuated the year. The venue also boasts a great bar open on performance nights. Last but not least, the on-site box office is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Traditions Terroirs festival is a major event, bringing together over fifty producers and craftsmen every year in mid-August. It's an event that's been going on for over twenty years, and has never lost any of its success. The program includes demonstrations, entertainment and, of course, tastings. Note that this festival, organized under the aegis of the 2 Morin intercommunal tourist office,rotates from one commune to another.

On February 18, 1814, Montereau was the scene of one of Napoleon ^I's last victories. A major event, it saw an army of 5,000 to 6,000 Austrian and Württemberg soldiers stationed beneath the town walls and pillage the surrounding area. Today, every two years, the town of Montereau-Fault-Yonne organizes a commemoration of this incredible battle. This includes a spectacular re-enactment of the confrontations, with hundreds of extras from all over Europe dressed in period costume.

It's a traditional Beauchamp event organized by the "Les Couleurs de l'art" association, whose reputation has spread far beyond the town's borders. In February, dozens of local painters gather at the Salle des Fêtes to exhibit their work. You can not only talk to them, but also meet the guests of honor. Admission is entirely free, so don't hesitate to come and marvel at these works.

Le Temps de Vivre is a theater company based in Colombes. It offers participatory shows and storytelling. For groups of ten or more, a collective booking form is sent out with a contract. Departures are generally guaranteed, unless the minimum number of participants is not reached. Aventure Bike is a brand of the So Watt Sports et Loisirs association, which also manages the Stages du Soleil cycling courses.

Printemps des Rues is a Parisian festival dedicated to street art in all its forms. It showcases dance, theater, circus, hip-hop, magic and much more. The festival takes place around the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, as well as in various venues in the 18th arrondissement. The festival is organized by the association Le Temps Des Rues, which promotes street arts in Paris.

Created in 2008, the aim of this exhibition is to promote historical works, to make them accessible to a wide public and thus to widen their audience to younger people. It is open to different forms of written expression (monographs, biographies, essays, apocryphal memoirs, narratives, historical novels, comic strips...). It welcomes recognized historians and young talents, with Youtubeur awards. The vocation of this exhibition is to make it more accessible. It takes place in three different places in Versailles: at the Inter-Age University (auditorium), at the Town Hall (Mongolfier Room) and at the Hôtel des Gendarmes.

Comic Con Paris is a not-to-be-missed cultural event for fans of comics, science fiction, fantasy and video games. It has been held every summer for the past four years at the Parc des expositions Paris-Nord Villepinte, in Seine-Saint-Denis. The festival showcases all aspects of fantasy culture, from comic books and video games to science fiction and fantasy literature. Visitors, whether enthusiasts or simply curious, can discover this rich and sometimes little-known universe over four days. Every year, Comic Con Paris joins forces with Japan Expo, enabling visitors to discover the world's entertainment and cultural trends in the same place and on the same date. The festival also features special guests, exhibitions, conferences and signing sessions.

The Provins Son et Lumière show is a not-to-be-missed event during a visit to the medieval town of Provins.
