LA DAME DE CANTON

Cafconcert
4.6/5
27 reviews
Closed - Open to 19h00

Along the Quai François Mauriac, one barge follows another - but one really stands out. Between the ultra-modern baths and the Batofar, the Dame de Canton stands out. Over the years, this junk, transported from the South China Sea by an enthusiast, has become a mythical Parisian scene: concerts by young artists, exhibitions, performances, and a relaxed atmosphere are its mainstays. In summer, a terrace is set up on the quay, ideal for an aperitif while waiting to go up on deck for the concerts.

LE CONNÉTABLE

Cafconcert
4.3/5
39 reviews
Closed - Open to 19h00

Just in front of the National Archives, here is an original address since this mansion houses a superb room with exposed beams which is a tavern and concert hall. You can also eat a good French cuisine based on local products and the plates are well stocked. During the day the restaurant looks very chic, but in the evening the tavern welcomes night owls of all ages who come to listen to the groups who perform there, generally from 9pm. It's more like French song and the artists are quite talented. A good place to listen to music in an unexpected place and up to noon ...

LE VIEUX BELLEVILLE

Cafconcert
4.7/5
37 reviews
Closed - Open to 11h00

You will have to climb the hill of Belleville, get lost in a maze of little frequented streets, but full of charm, and you will find this place so typical, whose name alone sums up the spirit. Here, songs, accordion, evenings dedicated to the kid Piaf, to the barrel organ with Riton the Crank, you will have understood it, one resuscitates a Paris of former days. To have a drink or enjoy a board to share, for a meal with good products, simple cuisine and desserts that hold the body, it is also an excellent place. If the ghosts of the artists of yesteryear hover here, it's no coincidence. You will have understood that this is an institution.

PLANÈTE MARS

Cafconcert
4.8/5
4 reviews

Rather than an interstellar journey, it's a journey in the time you propose Planet Mars, in the heart of the 1960 s. The place of the place is obviously dominated by red. There are no tables or chairs, but stools and bars to drink cocktails and bottled to the sound of the branchés DJ and soul. Among the clients are nice and cheerful rockers tendance, leather jackets and gomina. And yet, if you're not part of the band, you don't feel at all alien when you get on this planet. We feel immediately welcomed around the small bar in the round of this friendly and well-filled space, under the benevolent gaze of the regulars and toy robots of our childhood shelter in their plexiglas globes. In light of the other bars in the Bastille district.

CHEZ ADEL

Cafconcert
4.5/5
26 reviews
Closed - Open to 17h00

An old corner bar with unpromising decor near the canal: at first glance, that is what this institution of quai de Jemmapes looks like. But once you sit down at the table, you quickly forget the pine cone hanging from the ceiling and the statuettes of bucolic nymphs scattered throughout the bar. This is the kingdom of Adel, who run his small café with good humour and sympathy, a tradition that is lost in the other neighbourhood bars. If we come here, it is not so much for the contents of the glass or the plate (some Syrian specialities are proposed), but for the people with whom we taste them. Here, you will find a few merry regulars, some quite drunk students and idle artists. Every evening or almost, musicians give small concerts, without any fuss. The prices are reasonable, the evenings are always pleasant, especially in summer when the terrace is full of customers enjoying the beautiful days… and beautiful nights!

LE POP UP DU LABEL

Cafconcert
4.1/5
26 reviews
Closed - Open to 12h00

Café and restaurant upstairs, concert hall and concert hall downstairs: it's an understatement to say that this Pop-Up du Label knows how to do things right. While the kitchen is well smelled, in neighbourhood canteen mode, with seasonal dishes well smelled, it stirs hard underneath! And for good reason, the space, which is quite vast, offers an eclectic program, and many of the artists are still unknown, but are expected to break through soon. Lescop, Yaël Naïm, Juliette Armanet have been here, and we can only invite you to take a regular look at the programming. As a bonus, the Pop-Up gallery, which has just opened, with works by the team's favourite artists.

LE DIVAN DU MONDE

Cafconcert
4.3/5
4 reviews

The tumultuous history of this concert hall does not detract from the quality of its programming. It first opened as a ballroom in 1861, before becoming a pornographic cinema in 1901, under the name "Théâtre de la Comédie Mondaine". Presumably, it was its sultry reputation that kept it going. In fact, it was here that striptease was invented! The club's warm, relaxed atmosphere is ideal for rocking till dawn, and all for a reasonable price. Be warned, though, crowds are often high!

LE CAVEAU DE LA HUCHETTE

Cafconcert
4.2/5
5 reviews
Closed - Open to 21h00

An institution: Caveau de la Huchette, the famous temple of jazz, is a temple in itself, as its vaulted stones seem so full of history and have hosted parties since the opening of the club, which is now more than 60 years old. The biggest names in jazz perform here, from Lionel Hampton to Bob Wilber - and in the old days Sidney Bechet and Count Basie - with a certain penchant for swing. After the concerts and after a certain time, the venue opens up for free to all genres, with a retro tendency - rhythm'n'blues, rock, disco... - for wild dance evenings in the purest tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. In short, an unmissable event!

LOU PASCALOU

Cafconcert
4/5
2 reviews

It's in a small, not very well-known corner of the 20th century that you will discover Lou Pascalou, "Le petit Pascal" in Basque. This cultural café programs rock concerts, songs or world music and meetings with writers. It also presents exhibitions of artists and projections of short films. Some evenings are also dedicated to board games or tournaments of the Paris Improvisation League (see the programme on the café's website). The place succeeds in combining culture, good atmosphere, discovery and sharing. The staff is charming, even during peak periods. A little extra: on sunny days, the large terrace is very much appreciated.

38 RIV - JAZZ CLUB

Cafconcert
4/5
1 review

Located on the grand rue de Rivoli, you will have to open the eye to see the small entrance of this jazz club. Once the vestibule has passed, you can take place in one of the three pretty vaulted cellars for a musical aperitif. According to the programming you will enjoy classical concerts, jazz or bossa. On Mondays evening, jam-sessions are organised under the name "The Two Sauces". On Monday, at a. m., a sweet sour beef for amateurs, beginners or shy and at 20 p. m., a tangy sauce sustained by talented musicians. On Thursday evening, it is organic sauce in the programme (totally acoustic: no amplifier or microphone)! Finally, on Sunday at 17 a. m., you can discover old music concerts around a baroque tea.

LE LIZARD LOUNGE

Cafconcert
3.7/5
3 reviews

In an atmosphere reminiscent of a New York alley with the long apparent red brick walls and the little mezzanine in metal reinforcement, a pub all that there are more Anglo-Saxon. Behind the long wooden bar, young British-style waiters are ready to prepare for cocktails whose home specialty is the Screaming Tourismegay, for an English audience always present in number. Large tiles everywhere display the numerous cocktails and snacks. At the bottom, the large two-piece cellar has its own bar and hosts Wednesday to Saturday Djs from all sides - rather good programming for a bar: électro, house, groove, rythm'n'blues… for holidays with London accents.

LE RENDEZ-VOUS DES AMIS

Cafconcert
3.7/5
3 reviews

A "band of pals" in this former hotel of the early century, ideally placed between the Abbesses and the Sacré-Coeur. Exposed beams and patina on the walls give the two rooms - a large bar and wooden tables in the first, quiet sofas and low tables in the second - a warm and intimate atmosphere. The music prevails: songs, rock, hip-hop, funk, soul, electro… And for nothing to spoil, the place offers happy hours very interesting. On the summer evenings, you will be prompted to discuss with all the clients who take the steps of this convivial meeting…

NEW MORNING

Cafconcert
3/5
1 review

It's a legendary venue where some of the greatest names in jazz have performed, starting with Art Blakey on the night it opened in 1981. Chet Baker, Stan Getz, Dexter Gordon, Dizzy Gillespie and many others followed. This is one of Paris's must-see venues for music lovers. The place has long been associated with jazz, and it's true that it plays a lot of it. But it's not the only one, as in recent years the venue has also offered blues, rock and quite a few young artists who we imagine to be very promising.

BAISER SALÉ

Cafconcert
1/5
3 reviews
Closed - Open to 16h00

The Gibson's Brothers, the Martinique trio that achieved a phenomenal success in many countries during the 1970s and 1980s, created this famous jazz club with eighty seats. Of this creation under Caribbean auspices remained the taste of Afro music, in the broad sense of the term. Jazz fusion style training is also offered. Some names of artists that marked more than two decades of hot music: Richard Bona, Angelique Kidjo, Monica Passos, Ultramarine, Les Étoiles, Sylvain Luc, Rido Bayonne, Étienne Mbappé, Mario Canonge, Nguyen Lê... And the adventure continues on the same rhythm. Take note: François Constantin the percussionist orchestrated the jam sessions on Monday.

Nevertheless, Baiser Salé is also a bar with terrace that is very appreciated for its generous happy hours. As it is located in a very busy street of the centre of the capital, you have to come earlier if you want to enjoy the terrace!

GLAZ’ART

Cafconcert

Le Glaz'Art has gradually become a cult venue for the Paris underground scene, hosting electro festivals, concerts-exhibitions by contemporary artists, short-film screenings... This bar is more than just a place to drink; it's a meeting place where different artistic scenes come together. The place is particularly pleasant in summer, thanks to its garden terrace, ideal for smokers. Regular evening events are organised here: see the website.

LE DUC DES LOMBARDS

Cafconcert
Closed - Open to 19h30

Le Duc des Lombards has established itself as one of the capital's leading jazz venues. Thanks to its exceptional acoustics (unquestionably one of the best in Paris), the "Duc" attracts all the great soloists and orchestras on the international jazz scene. The principle is simple: two concerts are programmed daily, the first at 7.30pm, the second at 10pm, from Monday to Saturday. For night owls, don't miss the "Jams de Duc", with sessions from midnight to 4am on Friday and Saturday!

L’OLYMPIC CAFÉ

Cafconcert

The Olympic attracts a young and cheerful clientele. For years, it has been helping to bring life to this multicultural part of the Goutte d'Or district by being a dynamic venue open to all. People mingle happily over a drink in the simplistic setting of a former turn-of-the-century ballroom. Concerts are held almost every evening in the basement, focusing on a cosmopolitan and really lively program. It's contemporary, unique and fresh. A real cultural melting pot, far removed from the stilted atmosphere of some of the capital's bars.

YONO BAR

Cafconcert

With the close of the intimate at Richard and the opening of his replacement the Yono Bar, we thought of seeing a character of this club located off the street, thanks to the large porch separating him from the Swamp's hustle and bustle. That is not the case. The place has nothing Asian but fortunately everything to celebrate. On the first floor, a small restaurant on the ground floor, a first bar - white white, clear but at the minimum. The once, a first cellar in the more developed atmosphere, is a mixture between the walls of the apparent stones, the conical bar and the mosaics. In the basement, a large cellar with chandeliers and two giant screens for video projections where live, and finally a small restaurant on the floor. The Yono builds on DJ and collective performances and always looks for new sounds.

LE ROSSO

Cafconcert

With its four-pin fashion-shaped design - red light and Toile canvas - and its impeccable bar, Le Rosso could impress the Chaland in search of simplicity. And it would be a pity both the reception and the clientele of this small bar contrast with the somewhat cold - but nevertheless very beautiful - appearance of the design, signed by Sylvain Lacroix. Girls feel good and boys too. It's not great, it's fast, and since it's nice, it's easy to talk to each other while sipping a new York cocktail - Sea Breeze, Cosmopolitain… - or a panther milk, home specialty - secret recipe. The DJ stands at the end of the bar to move the music as varied as possible, without ever being assourdissante. Here we have a few very good evenings.

SUPERSONIC

Cafconcert
Closed - Open to 19h00

This New York loft feel is one of Supersonic's hallmarks. The 200-seat venue, which opens entirely onto the outside thanks to its large bay windows, hosts concerts, DJ sets, and tributes to bands such as Nirvana and Pink Floyd. The program is indie pop, psychedelic, or rock, and drinks are available at fairly reasonable prices. Supersonic has succeeded in finding its specific place in an environment where there is no shortage of players: quite a feat.
