N’IMPORTE QUOI

Club
4.3/5

" It's anything, but we do it well "… Nostalgia for the students' evenings and the music of the 1980 s, you will find here everything you like and of course, anything. On the ground floor of the NIQ - sic - you have a large colored bar, a barman juggling the bottles and serving the chain cocktails in a dredge-mi atmosphere and dredge to the next one. In the basement are two small vaulted cellars to dance Latin or make a rock encircled as only the boys in polo know how to do it. It is crowded as soon as the weekend approaches, the atmosphere is rather young and friendly and even if musically it remains very basic, at least the entrance is free. Many theme evenings.

The main arcade of 1,500 square meters in the center of Paris - it is said to be the largest space in Europe - is the meeting place for gamers. Whatever their age (although the majority of the clientele is young), they all come here to try out the simulators and interactive video games, of which there are dozens. Among those, car games, motorcycles, aviation, space shuttles, some in 4D or 3D, virtual sports challenges... There are also network games and an "Eat & Drink" feature to enjoy.

When you arrive, the establishment is first of all one of the most beautiful terraces overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Located on the belvedere, Moncoeur Belleville is a must in the neighborhood. The chef offers a trendy and seasonal cuisine at low prices. As for the drink, the staff is very inventive with for example, pieces of cucumber in water bottles to cool you off during the summer. Throughout the year, jazz concerts, pop and cappella singing are organized. Moreover, you can always play board games, ideal to enjoy this bar offering a great view for hours!

THÉÂTRE DU ROND-POINT

Theater

With a history spanning several centuries, over 20 years ago, the theatre underwent major renovations, after which Jean-Michel Ribes became its director. His aim is to reconcile pleasure and culture by performing texts by living authors. He multiplies quality shows by mixing genres and styles in the rooms of this dynamic establishment: Renaud-Barrault - seven hundred and sixty seats -, Jean-Tardieu - one hundred and seventy seats - and Roland-Topor - eighty-six seats -, in tiers.

The adventure of the New Theatre began in 1827. He had three successive addresses before settling in this 590-seat room inaugurated in 1921. It is one of the temples of the light show: There was a lot of music and a lot of music. Arletty, Michel Simon, Elvire Popesco, Jean Lefebvre, Jacques Balutin, Henri Guybet, Chevallier and Laspalès, Robert Lamoureux, and Marthe Mercadier surveyed his scene. In 2010, Pascal Legros took the lead in the theatre.

The Petit Casino opened its doors in 1969 in a former plumbing shop between Beaubourg and the Place des Vosges. We played the Obaldia, for example, and then fanciful such as Sylvie Joly, Douby, Pascal Legitimus or Paul Préboist made it a renowned address in the coffee-theater category. It is a unique and atypical place where each reservation is made by telephone, and where the welcome is made by Hélène. A beautiful evening of laughter in perspective!

This beautiful polygon-shaped building has become very precious. Of the "hard" circuses built during the 19th century, only this one remains, built in 1852 by architect Jacques Hittorff, and purchased in 1934 by the Bouglione brothers. Today, the circus reigns supreme, thanks to the expertise of the Bouglione family, who recruit exceptional artists from all over the world to enrich their shows. The circular stage of this magnificent "theatre" is also used for concerts and television broadcasts.

PADDY ROCK

Beer bar
4.2/5
5 reviews

Formerly known as Paddy O'Neills, this Irish-inspired pub with its distinctive facade has been a quasi-institution in Chailly-en-Bière for many years. Its owner, dynamic and friendly, is full of good ideas to celebrate in the evening, with rock, jazz or improv concerts, disco or 1980s evenings, football atmospheres thanks to the various screens arranged in the rooms, and many other surprises to discover according to the programs of the moment. The typical decoration with its batch of bars, stools and other barrels, serving as tables, is successful, and the presence of adjoining rooms allows everyone to enjoy the atmosphere, or even to privatize part of the pub as needed. In addition to a wide choice of beers and alcohols, Paddy Rock also offers simple dishes to eat on the go (plates of cheese, hams and bruschettas in particular). This establishment is a real favorite because it succeeds in meeting the challenge of suiting all types of audiences, young and old. Our advice: to keep up to date on the events scheduled, it is better to take a look at the pub's Facebook page rather than its website.

We go there for the beers, which come from many countries, but also for the food. It's not great gastronomy, of course, but the well-stocked plates quickly quench even the most intense hunger. An institution: Caveau de la Huchette, the famous temple of jazz, is a temple in itself, as its vaulted stones seem so full of history and have hosted parties since the opening of the club, which is now more than 60 years old. The biggest names in jazz perform here, from Lionel Hampton to Bob Wilber - and in the old days Sidney Bechet and Count Basie - with a certain penchant for swing. After the concerts and after a certain time, the venue opens up for free to all genres, with a retro tendency - rhythm'n'blues, rock, disco... - for wild dance evenings in the purest tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Located in the area of Paris with the most significant changes in recent years, the last-born of the UGC range is open since October at the very location of the former Claude Bernard Hospital, closed in the 1990 s. In years, it's a quarter that has literally transformed itself from the state of wasteland to the very popular place of life. It was therefore normal for a UGC cinema to come into this relatively dépourvu place. With 14 rooms and more than 2 800 seats, the place is a large area covered with a fine metal jacket giving it a chic and sober appearance. And the actors did not get there because, in a few months, dozens of poster heads came to present their works. Test this movie, you won't be disappointed!

THÉÂTRE DU PALAIS-ROYAL

Theater
4.3/5
3 reviews

The room itself is already a show. Trained in Italian, with about 800 places, it shines a thousand éclats. The th century atmosphere dominates and enchants. It is a jewel in a historic area. The Royal Palace, where it is located, began to be built by the will of the Cardinal of Richelieu. He then called himself the Cardinal Palace. The theatre was built in 1784 in this area, which became property of Philippe d'Orléans. The architect is Victor Louis, who expands the room in 1791. He then took the name of his director, Miss Montansier, an important woman in the middle of this period. In 1831, a famous comedian named Dormeuil took over. The place was named at the Palais-Royal theatre. They play vaudevilles. There were many pieces of Eugène Labiche - Embrace-us Folleville, the Straw hat of Italy… -, Parisian Life, Meilhac, Halévy and Offenbach… In the 1960 s, the comic vein irrigates again and again this room - Achard, Roussin, Dorin… In 1973 stands here the first of La Cage aux folles, Jean Poiret with the author and Michel Serrault. It is a historic triumph, which, elsewhere, will last until 1979! There will then be other successes, including Merry Easter, the same Poiret with Maria Pacôme and Nicole Calfan - from 1980 to 1983 - or the shows of the Unknown and the Quartet. A real palace of laughter royal!

We stop right away! True sake is not a digestive but a light and diversified rice alcohol with aromas from rose to litchi. Youlin Ly, one of the specialists in this beverage, created this 500 m 2 house in the Etienne Marcel neighborhood. He brought over 100 references of his travels to Japan, which can be drunk cold, hot or even sparkling. Traditional sake is drunk during meal, cold or hot, in small glasses. The modern sake is rather fresh, in glasses on foot. It is possible to accompany his glass with a typical dish from Chief Makoto Inoue: sancho, sancho (grilled chicken), or niku udon (beef noodles).

Le Wanderlust is one of the last born of "hype" places of the capital. It was thought by the Savoir-Faire team, already at the origin of the Social Club or the Silencio, David Lynch's private club. Its two flagship assets: a huge terrace facing the Seine and activities all day long. People come there to see a projection, for yoga, a creative workshop or a children's lounge, for example. Le Wanderlust also has its restaurant, but it owes its success to the Club: The DJs are carefully selected and the programming is specific and eclectic. You will love dancing on the terrace during the summer! However, one downside: like all trendy facilities, the place is not cheap, and the entrance is very selective…

In this cozy atmosphere, you are advised to accompany your reading of hot chocolate, which has a whipped whipped cream - to die for, would say our English compatriots. A rococo facade and garlands and painful masks: no doubt, when you enter here, we are sure that there will be from the show! Bobino is a beloved name among music-hall fans. It was originally the name of an early 19th-century clown. From the 1950s onwards, Bobino rivaled the Olympia, welcoming Georges Brassens, Édith Piaf, Coluche and many other stars. THÉÂTRE DU SPLENDID

Theater
4/5
3 reviews

The Splendid left the Beaubourg district in 1981 to set up in a former showroom, taking the name of Splendid Saint Martin. Built in 1896, Les Fantasies Saint-Martin merges songs and theatre. In 1907 they became the casino Saint Martin, a café concert where the young Mistinguett and Maurice Chevalier pass. Like many places of show, the place is transformed into cinema after the First World War. Until the day when actors who had had a splendid success on the big screens returned to animate his boards. Appearing on stage in 1973, the Splendid troupe had previously set up rue d'Odessa, then rue des Lombards. Its members: Josiane Saxo, Marie-Anne Chazel, Claire Magnin, Michel Blanc, Christian Keyboard, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Bruno Moynot and Christian Spillemaecker. Even though the group quickly broke after its arrival in this room - 300 places - at least on stage, they set the tone for programming. It was played in the Splendid of St. Martin: Grandpa makes resistance, as well as Night of intoxication and the Ex-woman of my life from Saxo. Many comics have gone through it: Jango Edwards, Michel Boujenah, Elie et Dieudonné, Les Robins des Bois, Jean-Marie Bigard, Valérie Lemercier… There were also singers Tom November, Sade, the Louis Trio case, Jacques Higelin… The Splendid is, more than ever, a place dedicated to humour.

Cocktail bar

Closed - Open to 18h00

There's no crocodile in the busy crowd at this strange, dark little bar on the outskirts of the Pantheon. Behind the long wooden bar, a shaker genius concocts 350 cocktails with decadent perfume names. Chemin de Damas, Clou Rouillé, Jolie Môme and Brûle Pourpoint come and go as the place fills up and conversations liven up. You feel transported out of time in this warm, noisy house. A classic that's changed a lot since the 1970s. Today, the mood is more reggae and African music.
