The Splendid left the Beaubourg district in 1981 to set up in a former showroom, taking the name of Splendid Saint Martin. Built in 1896, Les Fantasies Saint-Martin merges songs and theatre. In 1907 they became the casino Saint Martin, a café concert where the young Mistinguett and Maurice Chevalier pass. Like many places of show, the place is transformed into cinema after the First World War. Until the day when actors who had had a splendid success on the big screens returned to animate his boards. Appearing on stage in 1973, the Splendid troupe had previously set up rue d'Odessa, then rue des Lombards. Its members: Josiane Saxo, Marie-Anne Chazel, Claire Magnin, Michel Blanc, Christian Keyboard, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Bruno Moynot and Christian Spillemaecker.
