This association was created in 1945 with the aim of maintaining and developing the Occitan language and culture. Its members work to maintain the Occitan culture as a living and contemporary culture, creative and innovative, while assuming its history. To rediscover the richness of Toulouse's Occitan heritage, head to the Bibliothèque d'Etudes et du Patrimoine. Òmnium Cultural de Catalogne du Nord has been teaching Catalan for adults for over 30 years. For employees in the public or private sector, Òmnium offers Catalan language training to meet the needs of their professional activities in North Catalonia or for cross-border exchanges. The association Le Grelh Roergàs, as publisher, offered a first collection from 1966 to 1987 with 41 titles (referenced Anciana Colleccion). The current collection (referenced Grelh Novèl since 1991) continues with two or three new titles a year and a wide variety of works: novels, autobiographies, testimonies, short stories, collections of texts and poetry, as well as many popular works on specific themes.
