In 1985, Lamine Touré had the bright idea of conquering a small part of La Main with tropical rhythms. Club Balattou was thus the very first tropical discotheque in the country, and soon became a pioneer of world music, as well as being at the origin of the Nuits d'Afrique festival. Today, it's safe to say it's a Montreal cult venue, and has been for almost 40 years. Balattou is all about cultural diversity through music, the enchantment of discoveries and the abolition of borders. in short, "Around the world in one evening".

LE PANTOUM

A veritable musical creation complex and nerve center for Quebec City's creative renaissance, Le Pantoum is at once a concert venue, a creation, rehearsal and recording studio, a record label (Les disques Dure Vie) and an event manager. While its programming showcases local talent, artists from elsewhere also take to the stage. This non-profit organization is self-managed by its artists and cultural workers. A must-see!

Le Zénob is an emblematic place in the literary and cultural scene of Trois-Rivières. Well established on the ground floor of an ancestral house in the heart of the old quarter, Zénob has always welcomed artists, writers and thinkers from Quebec and abroad. In addition to being one of the headquarters of the International Poetry Festival (early October), the venues host year-round musical performances, theatre, poetry readings, exhibitions of works by local artists, etc. An essential address for lovers of style!

LES PAS PERDUS

This concert hall is a fixture on the Islands' musical and cultural scene. All the big-name artists make a stop here on their tour of the eastern part of the province. Émile Bilodeau, Alaclair Ensemble, Clay and Friends, Louis-Jean Cormier, FouKi, Steve Hill and Geoffroy, to name but a few, took to the stage at Pas Perdus in 2023. In addition to musical performances, the program also includes popular music jams on Mondays. The place to be on the Islands!
