Read moreLocated on the ramparts, facing the ocean, this restaurant offers a magical view (especially during the sunset). The management motto: be the ambassador of the perfumes and flavours of Sardinia. Fresh products, seafood trays, fish carpaccio, tuna to pistachios. The kitchen is tasty and refined. AL CASTELLO
Read moreA sunny terrace at the foot of the castle, an inviting setting for mouth-watering cuisine - that's what awaits you once you've climbed to the top of Castello! Lobster from the Gulf of Asinara cooked Catalan-style, smoked langoustines with basil sauce, fish antipasti based on the catch of the day, orange crème caramel, cannolo with ricotta - these are just some of the tempting proposals concocted by the chef. We can't say it enough: this is our favorite address in Castelsardo, not just for the food, but also for the warm welcome and customer care. Bravo!
PEMA
Read moreWe love this restaurant which was recommended to us by the Hotel Corallaro. It is not a beach restaurant, you will not have your feet in the water, but your taste buds will remember it! At Pema we serve a bistronomic cuisine worthy of the best restaurants on the island. The refinement of the cuisine and the associations of flavors moved us: unforgettable linguine with sea anemone! As for the cooking of the octopus, it was just perfect. The decoration is superb, modern with a rustic touch, the staff and the chef are adorable. Bravo !
OSTERIA LA FORCHETTA
Read moreWhen a restaurateur tells you that people from Cagliari come to his place (an hour's drive away) just to taste the fish, we're doubtful. But once you get your feet under the table, everything becomes magical. Antonello is more than a chef, he's a true goldsmith. We were blown away by his refined and inventive recipes. Bravo maestro, we're verging on gastronomy! Unsurprisingly, this is the best restaurant in Mandas and the region. We were also won over by the kindness of the man who told us his story... to the music of Phil Collins.
VIVARELLI
Read moreIt all started with a delicatessen opened half a century ago. The reputation of the establishment led the owner to create the restaurant in 2019. The secret of quality is simple, says the owner: "we have the slow food spirit, the animals come from my farm and the wine from small local producers. The resale space also offers cheeses and fine products. The vaulted room, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is superb, but it is especially in the plate that the gustatory adventure is striking. And what kindness! Big favorite of the Futé...
MATES
Read more"Ottimo" is Italian for "excellent". Excellent setting, you couldn't dream of a better place at the foot of the dunes, with a view that embraces the entire beach. Excellent, uncompromising seafood cuisine: Andrea decides on the menu only the day before, as his entire philosophy is based on the products of the local catch. Among all the delights, we succumbed to the "confit" octopus, quite simply exceptional. For wines, close your eyes and let Simona advise you. All in all, Mates offers a true gastronomic experience. It's magical!
RISTORANTE DA VITO
Read moreWelcome to Vito's, the very family restaurant located at the entrance of Sennori. It is an institution, not to be missed. Vito welcomes you in his beautiful house with a large dining room opening onto the terrace. The view is exceptional: you can see the island of Asinara in front of you and the tip of Stintino. It serves traditional Sardinian and home-made cuisine. The menu is made according to the availability of the food: oysters, octopus, sardines, spaghetti with cockles, fresh vegetables... Trust Vito, you will not be disappointed and the bill is not expensive.
RESTAURANT NASCAR
Read moreThe Nascar Hotel's restaurant is undoubtedly one of the best in the area. The careful selection of top quality products such as local red shrimp (so fresh that they are offered raw or marinated) or fish returns gives the cuisine a lightness and authenticity that is unmatched. Typical dishes like fregula or fish ravioli are executed to perfection. A few steps from the sea, the tables are set in a garden of holm oaks lit by the moon and candlelight ... Magical!
MARTINI BEACH
Read moreThe first reason to come to Martini Beach is for the incredible panoramic terrace facing west and ideal for enjoying the sunsets. The establishment is spread over several levels, connected by wooden pontoons. Then, we like the lounge atmosphere like Café del Mar fed with good music, a decor "Robinson chic" and a staff always friendly. Finally, this place being at the same time a beach bar and a restaurant, we also come to taste delicious specialities... before making a splash, just below!

SA' PISCHERA
Read moreOpened in 2020, in the heart of the Marina district, this address is particularly appealing to ichthyophagous, or more simply to lovers of fish and seafood! Because here, from antipasti (raw or cooked) to dishes, everything comes from the sea. You have been warned! Sea bass or sea bream tartar, spaghetti with cockles and bottarga, ravioli with the fish of the day, linguine with lobster for the most chic among you... A real treat. As for the decor, old photos and fishing traps form a nice jumble. Don't forget to book, especially in the evening.
AL PORTO DA SIMONE
Read moreThe restaurant of the hotel Pop with its splendid terrace is known in the whole region. The large, shady terrace welcomes you to enjoy shellfish and fish caught on the day. The speciality is sea bream and other fish cooked in a salt crust, but you can also enjoy fresh homemade pasta and the best typical dishes of the region. A superb list of local wines, Sardinian liqueurs and homemade desserts, need we say it? Quality dishes and choice at a reasonable price. Really a good address.
RESTAURANT S'ENIS MONTE MACCIONE
Read moreIn this restaurant perched at the top of the mountain with a panoramic view, good Sardinian cuisine is in the spotlight: old-fashioned dishes prepared with local products (oil, olives, honey cheeses, fresh pasta) on sale in the shop. The carrasau bread has just come out of the wood oven: a delight! Delicate and attentive service for quality services.
Large choice of pizzas cooked over a wood fire, absolutely delicious thanks to the natural fermentation of the dough. To discover imperatively!
BORGO SANT’IGNAZIO
Read morePerched on the heights of Bosa, you have to be prepared to climb several steps to get there. But the effort is worth it, because the Borgo San't Ignazio offers another atmosphere, another setting, nestled in the heart of the medieval district of Bosa. The beautiful vaulted room with stone walls and irregular plastering betrays the age of this house. Here you can taste Sardinian cold meats and cheeses, fish al forno, pasta al dente or seadas al miele. The terrace occupies half of the alleyway, installed under the vine or in the sun.
TRATTORIA LE 2 LANTERNE
Read moreA pretty terrace and a room with a Sardinian decor and warm colours make you want to go through the door of this trattoria right away. The restaurant Le 2 Lanterne offers all the best specialities of the region, perfectly cooked. In particular, you will find the snails that the inhabitants of Sassari love, a food tradition that dates back to the Romans, it seems. The à la carte menu is complete and the menus are very interesting. The ravioli alla Gallurese and the fregolas con arselle are the specialities of the house not to be missed.

Read moreYou wouldn't expect to find such a refined restaurant in the small town of Sant'Antioco, and yet... Da Achille revisits all the best Italian specialities and cooks them in its own way. Meat, fish, pasta, are nicely prepared in beautiful dishes. The restaurant of the Hotel Moderno is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. The restaurant is decorated with natural materials and small touches of original colour. It is a change from the rusticity of many Sardinian restaurants.
AL TONNO DI CORSA
Read moreThis excellent fish restaurant evokes a time when bluefin tuna were common in the waters of the Mediterranean. Luckily, there are many other pelagic resources that end up nicely cooked, such as this pasta with langoustines, this squid stew or these large tagliatelle mixed with fresh tomatoes and mussels. But the speciality to taste absolutely is the cascà, a variety of Tunisian couscous. One sits on one of the two sheltered terraces, with no view, but with comfortable high chairs.
ARAXI E MARI
Read moreAraxi e Mari is one of the best places to try Sardinian cuisine. Giorgia Guidetti makes sure that all the products used in her restaurant are raised or harvested on the island, such as the semolina or flour used to make fresh pasta, the saffron from San Gavino, the bottarga, the suckling pigs or the vernaccia, the wine from Oristano. In a room open to a large garden you can taste pork on the spit, grilled fish, octopus salads or spaghetti. Good value for money.
L'ANCORA PORTICCIOLO
Read moreThe hotel club L'Ancora has privatized the small beach of the locality, but opens it to the public with its restaurant. The menu offers dishes that are not very original, but which have the merit of being made with fresh products. It is essentially oriented towards what tourists are looking for in summer: grilled fish, Mediterranean flavours, light pasta and pizza for the wallet. It would hardly be worth a visit except that its panoramic view of the whole Golfo dell'Asinara leaves you breathless.
