Chartres was the city of Picassiette, and these International mosaic meetings, organised by the association of 3 R, make it a very beautiful tribute. They take place one year in two, in the magnificent exhibition framework of the old chapel of the Fulbert lyceum. The greatest giovanna present their works, which compete with originality and poetry. This biennial is also an opportunity to organize conferences and debates on the theme of the mosaic, of course. And at the end of the exhibition are the Picassiette awards, which reward professional, amateur, amateur artists, and young people.

Arts Roaming, this is a series of free exhibitions that follow from May in the Month of May, through the entire department: Sur, Nogent-le-Roi, Chartres, Saint-Lubin-des-Joncherets, and of course Chartres welcomes each Year the works of different contemporary artists. The Association féline des Pays de Loire, a generalist club, has carved out a place for itself in the landscape of small domestic feline enthusiasts, spreading its cat shows throughout the Centre-Val de Loire region and beyond. The Orléans and Tours shows are among the highlights every year. The Montargis show is held only every two years. AFPL also exhibits in Chartres and Paris. Orléans is the association's most important show.

The whistle of old steam locomotives, the clatter of ancient mechanisms, long country journeys... Does all this appeal to you? Then you'll certainly appreciate the Musée des Transports de Pithiviers and its historic railway. Here you'll find an impressive collection of old railway artefacts: lanterns, caps, posters, photographs and a few steam locomotives. You can also climb aboard a real steam train that runs between Pithiviers and Bellebat. Both museum and railroad are managed by the AMTP (Association du Musée des Transports de Pithiviers). The association also organizes special events for Halloween, Christmas and Easter.

Children aren't the only LEGO enthusiasts! In Château-Renault, Sandrine and David Giguet have put together an incredible permanent exhibition, built entirely in bricks, featuring a variety of universes from Harry Potter to Star Wars to DC Comics. At first, you'll be amazed, then quickly in awe, at the amount of work it took to build all these displays. At the end of the visit, the public passes through a superb boutique where game boxes of all sizes, figurines and accessories can be purchased, with over 22,000 references.

Every spring or summer, Pussigny streets are invaded by some artists for the Great formats competition. Over the course of the day, you can live in front of the many public works that then remain exposed until September in the streets or some in more unusual places such as the Bretonneau Hospital of Tours. At the end of the day, the public awards its grand prize after exchanges with artists.
