In Blois, in October, the Rendez-vous de l'Histoire brings together 1 000 speakers from all walks of life each year; it is a unique place for meetings, exchanges and debates. Historians, academics, writers, filmmakers, philosophers, politicians, journalists can find themselves in a long weekend for more than 400 meetings, debates, conferences, historical cafés, workshops, etc., in about fifteen places in the city. On this occasion, the Grain hall (in the heart of Blois) becomes the largest living room in the book book in France. Nearly 150 publishers and 300 authors come to meet the lovers of history. The cinema cycle allows you to see or review films at the cinema Les Lobis, through a selection of about fifty documentaries and fiction, subject to heritage as well as recent production, film archives like television. Finally, Les Rendez-vous de l'Histoire is a unique opportunity to discover the history otherwise, beside it in unusual places (historical cafés), through gastronomic discoveries (historical dinners), shows, exhibitions of photographs, historical comic strips.

Every two years, in September, the banks of the Loire are dressed in their finest finery and come alive with a thousand lights during the Festival de Loire, an event that moves the crowds. On the programme: exhibitions, jousting and lock-keeping demonstrations, boat races and parades, sailing demonstrations, tow horses, shows and street entertainment for all, concerts... This beautiful festival, an opportunity to travel back in time to the Loire navy, is the largest in Europe in terms of river navy.

Since 1992, the International Garden Festival has been a laboratory for contemporary creation in the field of gardens and landscape design throughout the world. Both a mine of ideas and a breeding ground for talent, the Festival revitalizes the art of gardens. The diversity, creativity and quality of the projects have helped establish the festival's worldwide reputation as a must-see event. Edition 2022: Ideal Garden - 30 years of green utopia.

Created in 1977, the Bourges Spring is the great rendezvous of music lovers, of all current music: hip-hop, electro, French and international varieties, world music, rock, reggae… On this occasion, a wind of euphoria blows over the city that lives a week high in color and emotion. This is the opportunity to discover new talents and to attend the concerts of the stars of the moment that have been meeting here. There are no fewer than 40 performances in various places (top, Palais palace, theatre, auditorium…), but also open scenes where the groups are continuously selected throughout the year, and a hundred concerts in bars, restaurants and outdoors. It's not stop at all corners of the street, for more than 100 000 spectators!

The ^9th art has its local festival! Comic enthusiasts gather in the Place Châteauneuf or the Salle Ockeghem to stroll between the stands, discover new releases and have their comics signed by the authors on hand. The program also includes exhibitions, film screenings (and often a drawing concert!), and entertainment for young and old. Drawing workshops are a big hit, as are conferences. LSF interpretations and read-alouds are also organized. See you on the 2nd weekend of September!

For over 20 years, enthusiasts have been reviving the Saint Luc procession. In the afternoon, they've added a very different kind of entertainment: a witchcraft festival featuring a gourmet and craft market, plays, strolls, a brass band, percussion instruments, a funfair, fireworks and a grand ball. If you like to scare yourself with the witch's house or tarot card readings, if you want to see the witch burn, don't miss the Bonnu festival! Costumes and entertainment are highly elaborate, and the shows are captivating.

In 2023, Les Goûters et Dîners du Patrimoine became Les Estivales du Patrimoine. A cycle of events, music and visits to a number of privately-owned monuments is offered throughout the summer. Visitors discover the local heritage and terroir through a variety of shows in places usually closed to the public. A guaranteed escape for an afternoon or evening with family or friends. Musik'Air brings together every year groups that are making a name for themselves, but also figures from the French music scene such as Ko Ko Mo or Madame Robert, who will be present in 2021! Volunteers rush every year to help produce this quality festival, which shows us the good atmosphere that reigns in this place! The atmosphere of Musik'Air is relaxed and all kinds of music are represented. A festival not to be missed and which has been going on since 2003 to discover the gems of tomorrow and to listen to the "classics" again!

Vibrate with the rhythm of the gospel… Chartres and neighbouring communes welcome each summer the international festival of Gospel and Negro Spiritual, organised by Cyprian Josson. World-renowned singers and singers come to take place during four or five concerts that take place at the end of June, in the churches of Chartres and the surrounding cities. So if you are amateurs of Gospel and Negro spiritual, do not miss these extraordinary voices, passing to Chartres.

Chartrestivales, they are 50 free concerts and shows to brighten your summer evenings. For over twenty years it lasts, and every year, success is with go. It must be said that brass band in the rock, via the classic one, jazz, the country, the blues and songs from all horizons, music is the festival! The concerts take place from 21:00 to 22:30 on the different places of Chartres, and although it rains, everyone will soon have made fold square Pool, sheltered under the large glass roof.

Every year, the greatest organists in the world meet in Chartres for a prestigious festival. Indeed, every Sunday afternoon, the chords of the great organ enchant the entire cathedral, to the delight of organ lovers. And every two years, it continues at the beginning of September with the International Organ Competition "Grand Prix de Chartres", the world reference of organ competitions, which consecrates the career of a young organist. So let yourself be carried away by the melodies that ricochet and resonate brilliantly between the stones and stained glass windows of the cathedral...

This event celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2018. It allows the public to experiment with the techniques of preparing the wicker and braking. Vanniers work in front of visitors to show their know-how and a giant willow sculpture will be carried out live. The exhibition store allows you to discover a wide variety of baskets and other objects made in the basement.

Saint-Laurent-de-Lin offers a wide range of cultural events throughout the year. These include the Fête Paysanne, the Battages and the Vieux Métiers. Note also that the whole event is hosted and soundtracked by RPSFM, the local radio station based in Noyant Villages. This national festival of school and university cinema is primarily intended to develop creative and artistic initiatives in Chartres; it is also an opportunity for exchanges between students, students, teachers and audiovisual professionals. The principle? For a few days, short films (fiction, documentary, reportage, clip, animation…) made by classes or by individual students are submitted to a jury, and screened publicly. At the end of the festival, films that have taken their cue from the game are rewarded. In addition, the Cinema-clap festival is enriched by the screening of professional films, by creative workshops, concert concerts and thematic exhibitions.

At the end of the autumn, from the end of September and the beginning of October, classical music makes the Eure-et-Loir vibrate. Under the artistic direction of Eve Ruggiéri, the Opera Days place the finest opera voices, not only in the cathedral and in Chartres theatre, but also in other rooms in the department. With a rich program, these concerts tend to gather everyone around opera, musical tales and conferences. This show is staged by combinations of Montargeois and Gâtinais engaged on social plan, cultural, media and solidarity. It fell under an alternative and committed approach. For two days, visitors can meet authors and can buy differently with the approach to the festivals and start the debate with other words. Of course, there are spaces booksellers and publishers meetings and debates are furnished with authors.
