Located at the northern tip of the main bay of Salou, the terrace of this small tapas restaurant is very suitable to admire the sunset. As for the dishes, we are entitled to some copious plates of seafood of all kinds, but also to salads rather well done (the one with goat cheese defends itself well). Compared to the other shops of this part of the seafront, Les Barques makes the difference: fresh products, a professional and fast service, very reasonable prices. An address that stands out.

It is a nice restaurant located outside Campllong, around a pleasant park. Spacious and welcoming, it offers a cuisine based on local recipes and products. Snails, duck duck and liver are the great specialities of the house. Succulent meats and a varied assortment of fish complete the menu. Without forgetting the rice paella of Pals and fideuàs. The terrace in summer is perfect for a quiet meal. Private lounges are available if required. You will also enjoy the children's playground.

Behind the stoves of this small restaurant, a cuisine that is both traditional and creative is meticulously prepared. The menu changes according to the season's products: game meat, mushrooms, figs and cherries, all served in the dining room in winter and autumn or on the terrace when the weather is fine. Where you can also sip cocktails, mojitosand other gin and tonics. A bio-ecological and vegetarian menu is also available. Located near the Muga River, the restaurant has 4 pleasant rooms on the 1st floor.

FONDA BARRIS

It has been in existence since 1949 and was then just a small bar serving simple dishes and vermuth. Little by little, the Fonda became an inn, then a hotel-restaurant. Today it offers a classic and elegant setting, as do the dishes offered by the chef, who is part of the La Garrotxa volcanic cuisine group. In addition to the succulent meat dishes you can enjoy there, some typical and old-style dishes are still on the menu, such as stuffed potatoes and duck with pears. Beautiful wine cellar and impeccable service.

Taking its name from the altitude of Das above sea level, 1,219 metres, this table in the town centre offers preparations based on local and seasonal produce, with eight to ten seasonal suggestions off the menu each week. Some of the surprising ingredients used here are dandelion, Barbary duck and partridge... Depending on the season, you can taste red partridge pâté, accompanied by toast. The wine cellar is well stocked with local and international labels. Nice discovery.

Opened by two young cooks trained in the best restaurants in Spain, Trumfes has quickly seduced the inhabitants of Llívia as well as visiting gourmets. Pau and Alex have turned Catalan cuisine into an art form: the dishes are formidably well executed and divinely good. The wine list is very eclectic and full of beautiful nuggets that made us fall in love. These two chefs are young, talented and full of ideas. We like their simplicity, the warm welcome and the care taken with the decoration. It's fine and elegant and the price is very reasonable.

Run by a couple as friendly as they are inspired, this small establishment has the air of a mountain chalet and offers a cuisine made from typical regional products, with an added touch of originality. In fact, the plates are small but copious and are combined in the manner of tapas, allowing you to taste many of the excellent preparations of Madame, who is in the kitchen. As for Monsieur, he provides the service, in French. The menu changes quite often so that new flavours can be discovered. Very good and surprising little restaurant.

It was in 1920 that the Guixera opened its doors to become the region's first plaster factory, taking advantage of the dense quarries of Beuda. Not far from 100 years later, young and enthusiastic restaurateurs wishing to get closer to the countryside decide to reset the old factory: it was done in 2013, the restaurant of La Guixeria was born! Local and quality products form the basis of preparations: Xai ecològic (écologique), stones (seabream), graellada of carn (with grilled meat), potatoes al caliu amb allioli (potatoes at aioli). The wine menu does not blot with the menu, and desserts are real jewels. Booking recommended.

In a service room at the crossing of the cross-country interior (wood stove and hunting trophies) and the trendy bar, the panoramic view of the valley is appreciated as well as the small and sophisticated dishes, as well as the garden: very inventive and traditional at a time.
