The service is very slow, but the servers are so friendly that you will still leave with a smile on your face. At the bottom of the bodega, a large and very pleasant patio for lunch in the open air, while your guests enjoy themselves in the adjoining park. A good address also for a simple aperitif with some tapas.
LES BARQUES
Read moreLocated at the northern tip of the main bay of Salou, the terrace of this small tapas restaurant is very suitable to admire the sunset. As for the dishes, we are entitled to some copious plates of seafood of all kinds, but also to salads rather well done (the one with goat cheese defends itself well). Compared to the other shops of this part of the seafront, Les Barques makes the difference: fresh products, a professional and fast service, very reasonable prices. An address that stands out.

We have a wide choice, churrasco (beef meat), merluza à la plancha, seafood… By entering mussels to local sauce are very hearty. In dessert, try the Catalan cream, a creamy cinnamon cream, very good and home made, other options being small industrial pots (even ice). Wine is included in the menu and is almost at will (but at this price do not expect a big cru)!

LA INCIDENCIA DEL FACTOR VI

A menu that is definitely in tune with the times, which is accompanied by an excellent selection of wines. Perfect welcome in all circumstances.

Its specialties are paellas and black rice, served with prawns and mushrooms for example. The space is small and the house is sought after, so it is better to book in advance, especially if you want to come on the weekend. During the week, the menus make the place a little more accessible to small budgets. The wine list is very well stocked.

LA SALA DE L'ISAAC
Read moreThis restaurant will take you about 4 km to the northwest of Palafrugell but you will be in the theme of Josep Pla since it is in Llofriu that it is buried. Set in a restored Catalan farmhouse, this restaurant of Catalan gourmet fusion kept the rustic style of it, while adapting it of course to date. Priority with seasonal ingredients, choice of the best local produce and careful design presentations, such are the creeds of this restaurant, made by Isaac Sabria, a young chef who (after a strenuous of pastry chef level) began his career with Celler de Can Roca, taken part in TV programs and receipt from multiple awards. Choosing the menus tradition or season, always inspired by the traditional cuisine of the region, you will not be surprised to find almost all the range of products from auction of Palamós (gambas, turbot, monkfish…), veal fillet of Girona or Galicia and Pals rice with squid or mushrooms, Cargols rostits amb sofregit COM els of abans (snails grille with sauce of yesteryear), Caneló of perdiu vermella amb castanyes (red partridge cannelloni with chestnuts) or Arròs nembo of Empordà conill amb caxofes (rice with rabbit and artichokes). For dessert, let yourself be tempted by the version of the chef of the Catalan cream. Rich and varied wine list. The square itself is composed of multiple flexible spaces for any event, the team of service is with small onions, and very neat presentation of the dishes. Lovely outdoor patio. A prestigious address in a beautiful place.
FONDA BARRIS
Read moreIt has been in existence since 1949 and was then just a small bar serving simple dishes and vermuth. Little by little, the Fonda became an inn, then a hotel-restaurant. Today it offers a classic and elegant setting, as do the dishes offered by the chef, who is part of the La Garrotxa volcanic cuisine group. In addition to the succulent meat dishes you can enjoy there, some typical and old-style dishes are still on the menu, such as stuffed potatoes and duck with pears. Beautiful wine cellar and impeccable service.
DAS 1219

The wine cellar is well stocked with local and international labels. Nice discovery.
TRUMFES
Read moreOpened by two young cooks trained in the best restaurants in Spain, Trumfes has quickly seduced the inhabitants of Llívia as well as visiting gourmets. Pau and Alex have turned Catalan cuisine into an art form: the dishes are formidably well executed and divinely good. The wine list is very eclectic and full of beautiful nuggets that made us fall in love. These two chefs are young, talented and full of ideas. We like their simplicity, the warm welcome and the care taken with the decoration. It's fine and elegant and the price is very reasonable.
