Vegetarian restaurant offering a wide variety of dishes at very friendly prices. The shade of bamboo is very pleasant during sunny days. Many young expatriates from all over the world find themselves at lunch or coffee. 

To taste the excellent seafood that the waters of the archipelago provide in abundance, there is a small restaurant that doesn't look like much, but it does have a feast of shellfish and crustaceans (lobsters!). Don't miss also the ôc vu nang, the speciality of Côn Dao, shells in the shape of feminine appas. The prices are a little higher than elsewhere because of the strong tourist affluence but the place is clean and the welcome is nice. Unfortunately, the quality of the dishes sometimes fluctuates but, generally speaking, it is a reliable address.

We take place on a terrace-pergola in the open air and we let ourselves be carried by the know-how of the chef who serves an excellent Vietnamese cooking. The seafood is particularly appreciated and of an irreproachable freshness. No fuss, the menus are posted above the bar and the service is fast. Copious and tasty portions. Lobsters, oysters, whelks and shrimps, the hardest thing will be to choose! Recommended.

Located at the back of a courtyard, not far from the French Embassy, this is a special vegetarian restaurant because the authentic vegetarian dishes imitate (almost) perfectly chicken, duck, beef or fish. In the spirit of the Buddhist tradition, it is a matter of bringing people of different religions together around the same dish. The establishment is also frequented by monks. The clientele is composed of Vietnamese and expatriates. The menu is varied, the atmosphere very kitschy, and the prices will seduce the tightest budgets.

This restaurant welcomes many foreign tourists who come here to participate in the exotic and unforgettable ritual of tasting a poisonous snake. The dishes can be tasted, regularly sprinkled with a swig of "snake wine" (ruou ran). Very educational explanations in English. The boss, very friendly, knows his business and puts on a show. This establishment is popular with the local clientele. On the menu: the fishing of the day. Various and varied fishes, crabs, giant shrimps... The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Among the recommended dishes, there is the one that gathers 6 giant shrimps steamed in coconut juice and served with rice vermicelli. On the other hand, it is not easy to make oneself understood with the waiters, as they have little or no command of the English language. Local beers accompany the dishes.

Uu Dam(Udumbura) is a term derived from Sanskrit and refers to a celestial and sacred flower that descended to earth, whose blooming, which would take place only once every 3,000 years, would mark an appearance of Buddha. The address is discreet, but central, a few hundred meters from Hoen Kiem Lake. The setting offers superb spaces, zen and dressed with raw materials - wood, metal, brick and waxed concrete - on which plant life stands out.
