It is in the artisanal zone of Pointe des Châteaux, between Kelonia and the Maison du Coco, that the Maillot family has set up its tanks to brew its beer in an artisanal way. At the end of the week, the family brewery opens its doors to the public for friendly aperitifs. In an atmosphere of guinguette, one shares copious boards filled with cold cuts, cheeses and other home-made preparations, and one waters the whole with these excellent mousses péi with local flavors: passion fruit, Bourbon coffee, vanilla..

The craft beer cellar offers more than a hundred references from all over the world. You will find all styles: IPA, red, triple, Belgian... Of course, local and artisanal beers have their place in the fridges: Dalon, Ti Mouss, Manzel, Yab... Drinks can be taken away or sipped upstairs in the cosy tasting area. Plates of cold meats and cheese accompany the beers. We like the expertise of the team of enthusiasts who provide real advice.

Finally a cocktail bar in Saint-Denis where you can enjoy something other than a mojito or a tequila sunrise. Diversified, fine, presented in original ways, there are countless adjectives to compliment their drinks. The menu is not to be outdone and the chef will surprise you every week: guinea fowl supreme roasted with ajowan, bonito pavé lacquered with poppy seeds... However, we advise you to book as the place is very popular and the number of places is limited. This is also what makes its intimate charm that we love.

Located in downtown Saint-Benoît, this cultural café opened since 2014 is one of the few lively places in the East. One comes here to listen to a concert, have a drink or eat in a relaxed atmosphere. Bisik hosts a concert a week, offers an open stage once a month, but also various large-scale events and participates fully in the network of venues on the island. Maloya, sega, electro, pop rock... This place of diffusion of current music wants to be eclectic, the cultural offer is of quality.

This small music bar, located in front of the ocean, almost with its feet in the water, is one of our favorite addresses in Saint-Pierre. You can come and eat tapas or salads for lunch or have an aperitif facing the sunset. At night, the atmosphere is more dynamic, with concerts on Fridays, karaoke on Sundays and Tuesdays and theme nights on Saturdays. The small dance floor and the central bar are quickly filled when it is crowded. A friendly and good-natured atmosphere, but despite the name, no surfers on the horizon! Good welcome.

Le Choka Bleu boasts a superb panoramic terrace overlooking the lagoon. We love the authentic Creole cuisine and the all-you-can-eat menu! But the place owes its fame above all to its Thursday evenings. All the young people of the West meet here every week, tirelessly, to chat, have a drink and dance, before moving on to the nightclubs in the center. It's also a great place for a sunset aperitif, especially as there's regular entertainment, with concerts at weekends.

A bar-disco in the centre of Saint-Gilles-les-Bains with a "tropical chic" atmosphere, with a wide choice of gin, whisky, rum and vodka from all over the world. The Pink Ananas is the specialist in homemade cocktails made with fresh fruit from Réunion Island. The music is varied: R&B, soul, disco, house... and above all the famous 1990's and 2000's evenings where some local music is added. The decor, very worked, gives the tone. In this trendy and select place, two-finger slippers and sloppy clothes are not welcome.

People have been coming to La Cerise for over ten years for after-work drinks and/or to see shows in the evening. A popular afterwork venue in Saint-Paul. Launched by two audacious young women, and supported by a handful of overexcited artists, La Cerise hosts a jumble of improv shows, slam, jugglers, DJs, acrobats, musicians, painters... Weekend concerts. Occasional cross-over events with the Espace Leconte de Lisle next door. In short, lots of creativity and an electric atmosphere in a choice setting.

A restaurant-bar where one comes for its big toasts (Provençal, Basque, Mexican...), served with salad. Also quiches of the day, omelets, desserts, etc. Paintings and photos of local artists are exhibited, as well as unusual objects decorated with capillotracted puns. There is a cheerful atmosphere at the bar, especially in the evening, with regular bands. Every year, the Toit organizes the local Bayonne festival: we close the street, we dress in white shirt and red scarf for a mini feria with a mechanical bull!

An institution of the Saint Giles night! Everyone is in a hurry for the festive atmosphere generated by its boss Olivier, often at the turntables at the end of the evening. The menu is quite varied and quite expensive; a metro cuisine based on fresh produce, quality meat and fish. Presented on the slate, the menu changes regularly. The music, dating from the 1980s, delights a metro clientele aged between 30 and 50, and people dance on the bar every weekend! The atmosphere is more of a bar than an intimate restaurant.

Located on the pedestrian street in the cathedral district, Café Edouard is one of Saint-Denis' trendiest spots. If you're not too fussy, it's the ideal place for a quick bite at lunchtime (salads, burgers, tarts...) and a refreshing drink when the sun is shining. At the far end of the bar, a second terrace has been set up to accommodate the Friday night crowd. Pizzas and tapas platters accompany these lively evenings. Orders are placed and paid for directly at the bar. You have to like the sometimes - often - deafening music.

Also known as Chez Jean-Paul, the Rondavelle des Filaos is a must for a drink with a nice view of the sea in Saint-Leu, especially at sunset. This unpretentious snack bar near the harbour organises free open-air concerts every weekend which attract a crowd of Réunionese and holidaymakers. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed. On Sundays, street food is in the spotlight; a dozen street vendors set up shop on the promenade opposite the Rondavelle. On the menu: kebab, Thai food, vegan food, burger..

Easily spotted, a huge cactus is at the entrance. ' and Mexican cuisine in this air-conditioned bar-restaurant, small but nice. We come to eat as well as to celebrate, the atmosphere is excellent, one of our favourite bars on the island. Métropole métropole is a safe value, but there is also a Latin card, the largest of the island: burrito, enchiladas, guacamole dips, taco-texan… Meat to plancha is a treat, you don't know if you first recommend the atmosphere of the bar or the quality of the kitchen. And to water all this? Corona, Tequieros, Desperate…. A good address where you can always celebrate. Outdoor smoking terrace.

Installed since 2005 on the esplanade in front of the Hermitage supermarket, this open-air bar has become a popular spot in the West. Managed by Fabien and his friendly team, the establishment is first known for its Friday night live concerts, with an eclectic musical program. But whether you come for breakfast under the cool trees, for a tapas aperitif in the evening or for a break in the bustle of the market on Sundays, you'll find the atmosphere of our French troquets and a relaxed atmosphere with local colors.

One house for three entities. The tea/coffee room, L'Instanthé, with its wide range of loose teas, infusions and organic coffees (Origines). Also on sale are accessories, home decor and works by local designers. The space, nicely fitted out in a villa with a garden, is shared with Vent de Bohème, whose colorful fans and cushions line the walls, and with Kaz Nature, for healthy, gourmet snacks. A welcoming place with soul and pizzazz, where people come to chat, relax, enjoy a good coffee, grab a bite to eat and indulge themselves.

A restaurant bar with a nice setting, in two spaces. On one side is the bar, with a swimming pool and a few tables, ideal for a few tapas, especially on Sunday evenings when there is sometimes a DJ. On the other side, high up, a terrace with a sea view, suitable for lunch. The kitchen is simple, but the atmosphere is very nice. La Nouvelle Vague is ideal for snacking or having a snack while having a magnificent view of the Roches Noires beach and the ocean. Stay tuned to the night programming, you will be surprised.

It's the place to be, the place to sing in La Réunion. Kazaoké has five themed, soundproofed rooms that can be privatized (from 4 to 15 people). In the privacy of your own room, you can choose from among the 50,000 song titles available, and let your vocal chords run wild! Kazaoké is also a cocktail bar, in an atypical, well-designed and beautifully appointed venue, with a warm, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Acoustic concerts are also programmed. The perfect place to spend an evening in Saint-Pierre.

La Voile Blanche is a bit like the obvious choice you'd never think of. This restaurant-bar enjoys an exceptional setting, right in the center of town, beside an elegant swimming pool, that of the hotel La Villa Delisle. You can enjoy the hotel's breakfast (reservation required), or simply enjoy a meal or a drink. Weekend evenings feature cocktails, tapas and music with live concerts or DJs. The place isn't very visible, and you have to enter through the hotel, but go there, because if the setting is sophisticated, the prices are affordable.

The Ti Roule rondavelle is known for its free outdoor concerts every Saturday and Sunday evening (well, almost), and occasionally on Friday. The atmosphere is always friendly and the music is connected to the Indian Ocean. Yes, the team organizes only concerts of traditional music: maloya, sega, reggae, soul reggae, seggae... The rondavelle offers food and drinks at very reasonable prices at any time of the day. You will almost forget the sunset.
