On the main road, in the center of Placencia, you'll find the ice cream parlour that produces ice creams considered by many Belizeans to be the best in the country. This is one of the most pleasant places to take a break in the town of Dangriga. The room is large and tastefully decorated, with a pretty wall covered with Emojis painted by local youngsters and a superb exterior wall covered in graffiti, setting the tone that the city's youth love to come here to relax. It's the ideal place to take a break before catching the bus, whose station is right next door.

Dan and Eileen, an American couple with a passion for ice cream, opened this landmark establishment in 2005, after searching the length and breadth of the island for an ice cream worthy of the name. They imported the basic "frozen custard" from the USA and mixed in all the local products they could find, depending on the season. The most popular are coconut ice cream and "Soursop" made with tropical fruit. The atmosphere is also very friendly.

For a gourmet break, you can stop off at this delicious ice cream parlour, which offers succulent flavours that will melt your sweet tooth. Don't hesitate to try it out, as the products served are fresh and of excellent quality. The exotic flavors of mango, banana, pineapple and coconut are particularly noteworthy, as their exceptional flavor confirms that we are indeed in the Caribbean, and that management knows its business and chooses its suppliers carefully for anything that isn't homemade. The iced birthday cakes are equally delicious.

Located at the split, on the north side of the island, next to Lazy Lizard, this is a pleasant little ice cream store, one of the only ones on the island. We come here to refresh ourselves with great Italian-style ice creams. You'll discover many original flavors, such as licorice/mint and the very local soursop. All the ice creams are homemade, and you can't go wrong with their creaminess. Choice of cups and cones. A lovely terrace overlooking the sea, where you can enjoy these marvels while taking in the marvellous view of nature.

If it's a little too hot in San Ignacio, or if you're just a little peckish, head for this ice cream parlour. The ice creams are delicious and the flavors enchanting: oreo, rum raisin, coconut and the more classic chocolate, vanilla... Milkshakes are also served, and for those with a sweet tooth, you can even order excellent homemade banana splits dripping with melted chocolate. The sundae menu also features a delicious campfire with marshmallows and hot chocolate. Yummy!
