It is very popular with the Oranese, who affectionately call it the "Empire State Building of Oran", because of its imposing skyscraper, but also by an international clientele, both tourists and businessmen. And with 320 rooms and huge infrastructure, this superb behemoth indeed magnificently dominates the bay of Oran with its mass of glass, which has almost become the lighthouse of the city. On the 18th floor is the Ciel d'Oran, a panoramic restaurant with good seafood specialties and Mediterranean recipes.

Located in a large and beautiful modern tower, the Liberté hotel offers 108 designer rooms with a cosy decoration (60 single rooms, 9 double rooms with two beds, 19 superior rooms, 10 junior suites, 10 senior suites). They are spacious and recently equipped with beautiful bathrooms with large shower stalls, plenty of storage space and flat screen TVs. Among other amenities on site: several conference rooms, one of which is modular, a bar and a restaurant serving Algerian and international specialties.

Very simple and basic, but warm welcome. Good restaurant.

In the east of downtown, at Ifri Mosque, the ex-Atlantic résiste as it can in time. The swimming pool can be fréquentable when it is full and clean.

Only kilometres west of Bejaïa, the hotel perfectly integrates with the rocky coast. The balcony of a few rooms really dominates the waves! Good dining in a pretty amazing setting. Bar, disco, guarded parking, direct access to the beach. Sailing and equestrian clubs. Diving club affiliated with the FASAS. Fishing and hiking outings.

In the region of the villages renowned for the manufacture of jewellery. A good address for a stay a little away from everything but airy and quiet.

In the city centre, on one of Oran's most lively streets. Near the Cathedral and the market of the Bastille and freont. Recently renovated, Miloud and Kader will be happy to advise you for a pleasant stay. Three-star hotel, soundproofed and air-conditioned rooms (TV fridge) a good address, not too expensive.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Direct opening on the sea, beach access. Air conditioning, television, refrigerator. The hotel Le Marin (owner), a little higher, at the exit of Azzefoun, has a swimming pool.

A Ibis and a Novotel are under construction at the ex-square Panis in the Brèche area.

As a last resort…

Another entrance to 16, Emir-Abdeklader Boulevard. A stone's throw from the square of 1 ^st-May (Place d'Armes), the Montparnasse hotel is well maintained and its restaurant well known. Also owner of Hotel Saint-Roch "at the beach".

A species of castle stuck between bretelles. The rooms are lovely but the rooms are quite good, but the restaurant is worth a visit for its beautiful terrace with view of the city.
