Buses run to Galileo Galilei airport in one direction, and to Piazza dei Miracoli in the other direction, passing through the train station. Tickets cost €1.50 and can be purchased at tobacconists and newsagents, or via SMS. To get around Pisa by bus, the Autolinee Toscana (AT) buses are numerous and quite reliable. The ticket also costs 1,50 €, valid for 70 minutes. If you want to do as the Pisans do on weekends, you can easily reach the seaside resorts of Marina di Pisa and Tirrenia for 2.50 €.

Departing from the pier in the pretty port of Camogli, the Golfo Paradiso boats offer a great opportunity to discover the coast in a different way. This tourist water transport service operates between Camogli and Recco, the Portofino promontory (Punta Chiappa and San Fruttuoso) and the Cinque Terre. So you can enjoy the coastal scenery from the sea. One of the best ways (if not the best) to travel in the region. There are also organized whale and dolphinwatching trips.

There are two main train stations in Genoa, Brignole (east) and Principe (west), at almost equal distance from the center, which can be reached on foot or by bus. Luggage lockers in both. Principe is the main rail hub of the area, but most trains also stop in Brignole. The metro connects the two in a few minutes (tickets available at tobacconists). It's easy to find your way around, as there are only three lines. The most important is line 1, which runs past the Vomero (Vanvitelli), the Archaeological Museum (Museo), piazza Dante (Dante), via Toledo (Toledo) and on to the main station (Garibaldi). Line 2, actually built on the railway network, connects Bagnoli and Mergellina with the main station. Finally, line 6 currently connects the Fuorigrotta district with Mergellina, covering 4 stations. Eventually, it will reach Piazza Municipio.

The view from the cabins is breathtaking, especially at night, but don't be afraid of heights: several dozen metres separate you from the ground! In the event of strong gusts of wind, the cable car is stopped for safety reasons, please ask before planning your day in Erice. To experience at least once the sensation of crossing the lagoon in a speedboat like James Bond. In the historic center, an ordinary medium-distance trip will cost you a minimum of €69 (e.g. from Piazzale Roma to San Marco). Rates vary widely according to the route and the driver. It's a good idea to take a water cab with more than one person, as from 4 people the cost will be amortized. There are dedicated terminals, or any hotel can place an order.

From April to September, about ten crossings a day make a loop serving these destinations, but only on Sundays in March and October, and none in winter.
