CHOCOLATE HOUSE

Chocolatier
5/5
1 review

Facing the Grand Ducal Palace and with its own terrace, this charming chocolate salon offers a concept for gourmands: the chocospoon, a block of chocolate attached to the end of a spoon to be dipped in hot milk. The result is the hotchocotouch, pure hot chocolate. You can also sample other delicacies: treat yourself to a slice of carrot cake, brownie, marble cake, English cream cakes... Vegan and lactose-free options. This is definitely Luxembourg's chocolate paradise! Savoury snacks are also available for lunch breaks.

The Domaine Henri Ruppert extends over 7 ha, on the Stromberg side of the Schengen hills. The noble grape varieties (pinot and auxerrois) are carefully selected. With its rough stone façade in the traditional style of the region, the tasting pavilion, built by the Luxembourg architect François Valentiny, evokes a rocky outcrop overlooking the Moselle. You can taste their products in their wine bar or during a tasting session (reservation required). A small catering service is also available.

A safe value of the Grand Duchy, the Oberweis stores have been camping in Luxembourg for almost 40 years. You can buy dacquois, but also pastries such as milk chocolate pie or fig pie. You will not be able to resist ice creams, sorbets or chocolates, which are of great freshness and quality. Original and rich sandwiches. The one based on Coppa (Italian sausages) blends perfectly with his butter in pesto, original and delicate. A total of 5 Oberweis shops are distributed in the city.

CAVES SAINT-MARTIN

Wine Cellar Wine House

The Caves Saint-Martin were founded in 1919, in the aftermath of the First World War. The underground galleries were carved out of an immense limestone massif between 1919 and 1921. Bacchus himself would not have been able to resist the call of these galleries dedicated to the enchantment of the palace and where high quality wines and white crémants lie. The guided tour of the underground galleries followed by a tasting in this internationally renowned wine cellar is worth the detour, as it is one of the most beautiful in the Luxembourg Moselle.
