The Domaine Henri Ruppert extends over 7 ha, on the Stromberg side of the Schengen hills. The noble grape varieties (pinot and auxerrois) are carefully selected. With its rough stone façade in the traditional style of the region, the tasting pavilion, built by the Luxembourg architect François Valentiny, evokes a rocky outcrop overlooking the Moselle. You can taste their products in their wine bar or during a tasting session (reservation required). A small catering service is also available.

The Caves Saint-Martin were founded in 1919, in the aftermath of the First World War. The underground galleries were carved out of an immense limestone massif between 1919 and 1921. Bacchus himself would not have been able to resist the call of these galleries dedicated to the enchantment of the palace and where high quality wines and white crémants lie. The guided tour of the underground galleries followed by a tasting in this internationally renowned wine cellar is worth the detour, as it is one of the most beautiful in the Luxembourg Moselle.

Poll-Fabaire crémants are produced according to the traditional method (a second fermentation in the bottle). Created by Domaine Vinsmoselle, this product of the Luxembourg terroir has been rigorously elaborated according to the strict quality criteria of the Champagne production method. The production site takes place in the Caves de Wormeldange, located in a prestigious Art Deco building founded between 1927 and 1930 and open to guided tours.

A family-owned company with know-how passed down from father to son, Pundel Vins Purs has been producing white wines from their own vineyards for 13 generations. Among the high quality wines and crémants you will find rieslings, pinot gris, pinot blanc, auxerrois, pinot noir, gewurztraminer, rivaner and elbling. The house has a tasting room with a breathtaking view of the Moselle valley, as well as a reception room available for rent. Their wines can be purchased on the Internet

This estate can boast of having been mentioned several times, with great regularity, in the Hachette Wine Guides. In 2017, the Pinot Blanc 2015 Schengen Markusberg was thus rated 3 stars and coup de coeur. In the Guide Hachette du vin 2022, two of its products were cited: the Auxerrois Schengen Markusberg 2020, 3 stars, and the Pinot Blanc Schengen Markusberg 2020, 2 stars. The cellars have a tasting room (maximum 15 people). In addition to the wide range of wines, the store also offers spirits distilled by the house.

The small estate of Kohll-Reuland has 7 hectares of vineyards present since at least the 17th century. Since 2011 it is managed in the third generation by Martine Kohll and Frank Keyser. It mainly cultivates Auxerrois, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes, to produce a Crémant du Luxembourg, of course, but also various white wines. The estate has a terrace where you can quench your thirst with a good glass of white.

Founded in 1907, this house has prided itself on making Crémant de Luxembourg, a sparkling wine of very high quality, since the beginning, and we can believe them! Domaine Mathes thus produces 4 vintages of crémant in white (Selection, Summum, Prestige, Steel), and one in rosé (Steel Rosé). The house also offers wines made from grapes from the vineyards of the commune of Wormeldange and which carry the AOP Moselle Luxembourgeoise. It is possible to taste them on their estate, as well as a wide variety of wines from elsewhere.

The Streng Distillery offers just about every type of schnapps that can be produced in the region, i.e. raspberry, pear, kirsch, pear, apple... but also very Luxembourgish products, such as Neues-biir or Schléiwen, which will be presented to you with great passion. Their speciality remains straw wine and all products made from grapes from the surrounding vineyards. The company also produces its own gin, the M.Gin, which is now available in several flavours: ginger and rhubarb, lemon, orange..

The Jeff Konsbrück winery, which was founded not so long ago, is a newcomer to the wine trade It offers pinot blanc, pinot gris, gewurztraminer, pinot noir, riesling... as well as a traditionally made crémant. At the same time, the house has a foot in the event business since it rents its cellar space to companies or private individuals. We appreciate the bar part, which looks like a lounge or even a big hotel in the capital. The site also offers an impressive view of the vineyards.

Created in 1850, Domaine Alice Hartmann is often cited as one of the best in the Grand Duchy. It is certainly for this reason that it is one of the suppliers of the court! The different grape varieties of the vineyard are Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It offers quite prestigious wines, with a nice selection of crémants from Luxembourg, produced in several localities and thus offering the opportunity to get acquainted with the different tastes of the soil. The distillery offers products made from grape marc.

Created in 1872, the Sunnen-Hoffmann Estate covers an area of 8.5 hectares of vineyards. Its philosophy for five generations has been to produce wines with respect for nature so that they always reflect the typicity of the terroir and the grape variety. In 2001, Domaine Sunnen-Hoffmann became the first wine estate in the Luxembourg Moselle to cultivate its vineyards in organic viticulture (Biolabel). The domain's boutique offers organic wines, gift boxes, table linen, ceramics, etc.

The Krier-Welbes estate was founded in 1957 by the parents of the current owner. Guy Krier took over the business on 14 July 1993 with his wife Gaby, and in the meantime the modest 3.5 hectares have grown to almost 14 hectares, managed according to the rules of organic farming since late 2009. This choice allows them to produce elegant and fruity wines with a great ageing potential, which are marked by their respective terroir. The Bernard-Massard cellars have been renowned since 1921 for their cremant exports. They produce wines from the "Clos des Rochers", "Thill's" and "Château de Schengen" estates. The latter are renowned in particular for their Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. The wine library is located in a superb building where you can taste wines on the terrace facing the Moselle. You will also find a large selection of foreign wines.

This excellent address offers a very good selection of wines (no less than 3,000!) from some thirty different countries. You will find here the great classics and the sure values, but also some less known but equally promising wines. Private tastings can be organised in the shop and can accommodate up to 10 people. The Vinoteca also has a bar open from Monday to Friday (6, rue Wiltheim - http://barvinoteca.lu/). It is run by Rodolphe, twice elected best sommelier in Luxembourg.

Pascal Mogro, elected best sommelier in Luxembourg in 1993-1994, is pleased to welcome and advise wine and spirits lovers. It offers wine tastings throughout the day around a plate of cheese or sausages. At lunchtime, the possibility to harmonize wines with a few brasserie dishes. Very nice address.

Founded in 1914 by Jean Krier with two of his sons, the Krier cellars have been a family business for four generations. Their wines come from vineyards all over the Luxembourg Moselle. The one-litre bottles of rivaner make a very acceptable table wine, fruity without being too sweet, with a remarkable price-quality ratio. They also produce good wines from all grape varieties. Their tasting room overlooks the Moselle valley and offers a magnificent view. A terrace is accessible in case of good weather.

Bernard Massard has been renowned for his high quality sparkling exports for 80 years. An audiovisual projection presents Luxembourg and the production of sparkling wines according to the traditional method. The visit of the cellars ends with a sparkling wine tasting. In particular, Bernard Massard uses the Clos des Roches areas which extend over 18 hectares, in Grevenmacher, whose annual production is in the order of 50 000 bottles and Frères Brothers which extend over 12 hectares, in Schengen and whose annual production is in the order of 70 000 bottles, which are known for their rieslings, Pinot blanc and Pinot gris.
