Read moreThis estate is run by a Frenchman, Guillaume Leroux, who has a degree in viticulture and oenology from Montpellier. This passion was passed on to him by his father, and he perfected his knowledge in the Douro region. He began his project at Monte da Casteleja in 1998, a traditional 7-hectare farm inherited from his grandfather. 3 hectares are planted with vines, using only local Portuguese grape varieties. Production is certified organic. Accommodation is available in one of the four bedrooms and the themed apartment.
