Founded in 2008 by David, who now has an armada of friendly multilingual instructors, this surf school is located on the beach of Odeceixe and is recognizable by its orange octopus logo. They will start by fitting you out and choosing the best board for you, before starting the lessons, either individually or in groups of up to 8 students. If you already practice, it is possible to rent boards, bodyboards and wetsuits and to get recommendations for the best spots.

Três Ondas, or the three waves, is a surf school founded by Frithjof Gauss, the first German longboard champion, in Ericeira. Founded in 2001, the school has built up a solid reputation over the years. It offers minimum 5-day courses for all levels. You can take lessons with Rafa or Pedro. If you book on the website, you can also book your accommodation at the same time: apartments or hotel. They offer stays, but you can also book a day course on request.

This surf school is part of Carvalhal Beach Nature, a beachside bar-restaurant (Carvalhal, as the name suggests).
