KUN THUN

Tibetan Nepalese restaurant

Located in Antwerp's Chinatown, close to the station, this Tibetan restaurant is a wonderful discovery. The room isn't fancy, but the dishes are original. Try the divine soup of shrimp gyozas with lots of enigmatic aromatic herbs, marinated cucumbers with fried chicory, then very fine sweet potato noodles and sautéed minced pork, a delight. A refreshing change from Cantonese or Thai specialties. Very mild Ba bao tea. Affordable, tasty and practical to order to take away before catching your train.

Everything is prepared freshly and the ingredients are made according to the principles of sustainable food. And to keep with the ethics, the employees are former Tibetan political prisoners: we say bravo!
