If the service could be a bit more smiling, it would be appreciated if you could enjoy a genuine, full-bodied coffee in Freiburg (the establishments usually offer more elongated and much less strong coffees). Italian pastries and ice creams are well executed and of good quality. You can also enjoy your visit to Degusto to drink a good glass of wine (Italian or not) at a reasonable price, which you can accompany homemade tapas. At last, it will be possible to choose from sandwiches to Italian fragrances, quiches, a few à la carte dishes (including salads) and the two proposals of the day. In the bistro as well as in the grocery store, prices seem a little high, but the products are high quality. In our view, if there is a place to stop in the station of Freiburg it is in Degusto Käfer.

Sünde Chocolateria ("The Chocolate Factory of Sin") is dedicated entirely to chocolate, from sugared almonds to hot chocolate and brownie, and is a real treat for cocoa lovers. This is a small market, less popular than that of the Münsterplatz, more local. Located in the park near the train station, if you are in Freiburg on a Wednesday or Saturday, it is worth a detour. Because there are fewer people, the atmosphere is more peaceful and we like to exchange with farmers. There are fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, bread, meat, fish, cheese and Italian products. Prices are once again at the meeting, but you are warned: in Germany we are not negotiating the market (and on one side we do not need it).
