The Leipzig Trade Fair Centre (Messegelände) opened its doors at the end of the 1990s. It is one of the most modern of its kind in terms of architecture and the distribution of spaces. It has a gigantic surface area, in particular a fully covered perimeter, of 112,000 square metres spread over several halls, which includes a huge glass bubble (Glashalle) 238 metres long, 80 metres wide and 30 metres high. The exhibition centre is located north of Leipzig, on the road to the airport and Halle. It attracts more than 1.2 million visitors from all over the world each year. The events it stages are varied, rich in economic and technical exchanges (as is the case with OTWorld), cultural encounters (examples:the Buchmesse or the Mutec) and family and general public events (the Haus, Garten und Freizeit home and leisure fair, among others). Year after year, Leipzig is thus establishing itself as a strategic trade fair centre on a German and European scale. It owes this to its privileged geographical position, at the crossroads of today's Eastern and Western Europe, but above all to the dynamism of the Leipziger Messe group, which coordinates each of its events.

For science enthusiasts or curious tourists, from 5 p.m. to midnight, scientific institutions in Berlin and Potsdam invite you to take a look behind the scenes with spectacular scientific experiments, exciting lectures and guided tours. The events are spread across Berlin, Wannsee and Potsdam. The program is aimed at all age groups and includes special events for students.

Inspired by the Notting Hill Carnival in London, this festival is dedicated to all cultures and communities living together in Berlin. Dozens of trucks and hundreds of musicians and dancers form a euphoric and colourful procession that draws thousands of spectators and onlookers into Kreuzberg, Berlin's multicultural district. Numerous food-trucks showcase the world's cuisines. For more than twenty years, this carnival has been celebrating diversity and defending an open society.

Throughout the year, the Berliner Festspiele stages a multitude of festivals, exhibitions and individual events in its two houses - the Haus der Berliner Festspiele in Schaperstraße and the Gropius Bau near Potsdamer Platz - as well as in other locations in the city. The annual program currently includes the festivals MaerzMusik, Theatertreffen, Musikfest Berlin and Jazzfest Berlin, as well as four federal youth competitions in the fields of theater, dance, music and creative writing.

An annual festival and platform for critical reflection on cultural transformation from a post-digital perspective. For over thirty years, it has been one of the leading international events in the field of digital art and culture. The year 2023 marked the ^36th edition of the festival, and opens with an evening of exhibition, performance and music, followed by four days of discussions, workshops and film screenings. Parallel to the festival, Transmediale presents the free exhibition Out of Scale throughout the city.
