Mountain and winter sports Germany

When the weather's nice, we love to take part in sporting activities in the great outdoors! And it's true that in the Rhineland, we're spoiled for choice! Whether in the Vosges or the Black Forest, there's plenty to do! And it's in the charming little village of Todtnau that you'll find this exhilarating activity! In fact, it's Germany's longest summer toboggan run, with 2.9 km of descents! Waves, tight turns and circles spice things up. In winter, the run can be tobogganed down. A great idea for young and old alike!

Mountains mean winter sports! Here too, Bad-Württemberg has a lot to offer, with 70 peaks over 1,000 m in altitude. The first snowflakes usually fall as soon as the harvest is over. Nearly 170 lifts, 3 biathlon trails, some 250 km of groomed runs and over 20 certified ski jumps are available for the enjoyment of winter sports enthusiasts. For cross-country skiers, the Black Forest boasts some 2,000 km of marked trails. And let's not forget the well-designed winter hiking trails. The Black Forest deserves its title as the cradle of winter sports!
