A small military airport built in the early 1940s, it has now become a major hub, the second largest airport in the Caribbean North-East, just behind San Juan in Puerto Rico. Princess Juliana International Airport handles the vast majority of international flights. It is located 15 km from Philipsburg, the capital of Sint Maarten, which you can reach by taxi. Many car rental companies are present on site.

This regional airport serves routes to Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France (via Pointe-à-Pitre) and Saint-Barthélemy. Recently renovated, it is very welcoming. Small stores, a snack bar and car rental services can be found in the lobby. WiFi is free for 30 minutes. Outside, other service providers include West Indies Helicopters and SXM Gyrocopter. Please note that the 85-space parking lot is subject to a charge, with only the first ten minutes free of charge.

This regional airline is positioned in the price segment. It operates up to 5 rotations to Saint-Martin (Grand-Case airport on the French side). If you'd like to take advantage of the opportunity to discover the whole Caribbean, Air Antilles serves Barbados, Guadeloupe, Martinique, St. Lucia, Dominica, Guyana, Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Puerto Rico and more. In the summer of 2023, the company, then in receivership, decided to discontinue its services to Saint-Barth. Air Antilles resumed operations in September.
