This chain of chocolatiers is close to Belgian standards and the quality is there. Beautiful presentations and originality in the creations with more than 50 varieties of chocolates, truffles, bars, chocolate with candied fruits and other specialties... the stores cause stomach cramps. The chocolate remains Polish, it is produced in Bielsko-Biała, Silesia from imported cocoa (obviously). This is an address that we recommend for hot chocolates, a real treat to take to the streets in winter.

This beautiful grocery store, part of a chain based in Krakow, offers all the products of this southern part of Poland, which flirts with the Ukraine and was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, rich in gourmet traditions. In the "Krakow cupboard" you will find real gastronomic treasures: marinated mushrooms, honey with herbs, mustards with spices, pork knuckles(golonka) and black pudding(kaszanka), canned currants, jams of all kinds, cookies... Salty or sweet, you are bound to find some products to your taste.

For their rose doughnuts(Paczki), poppy seed cake(Bakalowiec) or cream puffs, this little red-fronted establishment is one of Krakow's most popular! If you must indulge in a cholesterol-boosting sweet treat, don't be like other tourists and take the time to go there, and you'll be financing a local business rather than one of the big chain pastry shops that are all over the country. The disadvantage is that the local choice is limited to cult products.

A magnificent Polish liquor store, where the bottles stand upright, from floor to ceiling. You will find no less than 350 kinds of beer, hundreds of bottles of vodka with different flavors (lemon, pear, cherry, honey, plum, etc.) and of all sizes (bottles, half-bottles or small flasks). The salesman, who knows his products well and will be able to advise you, moves from one shelf to another using a ladder, just like in a library! It's a shopping experience worth the detour.

"The smallest candy factory in the world" is what it says on the front of this little shop. For the children but also for the big greedy ones, one can see at the bottom of the store the candies made in front of our amazed eyes, with the hand (this small show has a great success with the young children who must then be removed by force from the window). Vanilla-strawberry-cream, spices, plum, mango or even salt and pepper flavors... there is something for everyone! This warm place makes you smile and creates good gourmet memories.

The Wedel chocolate, Poland, is a real institution. Make a stop here and you will understand why. Chocolates, cakes and dress of all kinds, delicious drinks made with chocolate and cafes available. The interior, charming, is worthy of this chocolate kingdom with a large vaulted ceiling of glass and black and white photographs of the founding fathers of the Wedel brand.

This little cafe is a real gourmet's paradise, also offering a wonderful selection of teas and coffees to accompany your sweet delights. The cozy interior in the modern American style (think Starbucks) is a blessing when the winter breeze hits the streets. We suggest you try the excellent Slavic pancakes or one of the very good mixed salads to invigorate yourself.
