The meat dishes in particular are worth trying. In summer, enjoy the beautiful terrace on the river side. The rest of the year, try to go there during off-peak hours, the place is even more pleasant in small company.

This is a monastery restaurant, so don't expect gargantuan proportions, luxury in the decor (or even superfluous comfort) or a menu that stretches to the floor. There are few things, the tastes in the kitchen are simple, but in the end you are well provided for and served. The speciality of the restaurant are the pierogi, with white cheese, meat, cabbage, mushrooms or spinach.

The chef in the kitchen offers his guests a wide range of dishes from the old Polish cuisine. The Krakowiak tavern is huge, with a capacity of about 300 people on its two floors, so don't be surprised by the crowds or by the events it hosts. The portions are hearty and the food is very good with regular folk music performances.
