LA COSA NOSTRA

Italian restaurant and pizzeria
4/5

It's impossible to miss the bright yellow and red of this Italian restaurant on the main road, facing the salt flats. A few tables almost on the sidewalk, a handful of others in the dining room, and the rest in the open air in a pretty interior patio. It is the Frenchman Eric who runs the place, and we don't skimp on quality: organic arugula, cold cuts imported from the Botte region, raw cheeses... Pasta and ravioli are fresh and homemade, the salads are generous and the artisanal pizzas are cooked in a state-of-the-art wood-fired oven. Yummy!

L'ARTISTA

Italian restaurant and pizzeria €€

On the first floor of the Observatory building (the aptly named), this is the only restaurant to offer, from its large shaded terrace open to the four winds, an unobstructed view of Port Louis Bay and the harbour. In the breeze or in the room, in the calm, you can taste a well executed Italian cuisine based on fresh products: antipasti to share, fresh homemade pasta, pizzas (ah this Pollo and Tartufo!) and a selection of dishes like over there, including vegan and/or gluten-free plates. And you can bring me a little Limoncello with the Tiramisu!

S'ARRASTU RISTORANTE GELATERIA BAR

Italian restaurant and pizzeria €€

Italy is invited to Black River in the well-cooked dishes of chef Rocco, whose restaurant attracts as many gourmets as his grocery store. On the one hand, you can come and buy fresh homemade pasta, pumpkin truffle ravioli, a platter of cold meats and cheeses (Italian, of course!), etc. On the other hand, you can sit in the cool of the restaurant and enjoy a delicious meal. On the other hand, you can sit in the cool of the dining room or under the patio umbrellas to enjoy delicious Sardinian or Sicilian recipes accompanied by good wines directly from the Botte.
