You can find them in different forms: with chilli, with salt, with chocolate or plain. There is a nice café in a backyard ideal for lunch or light dinner. The passion fruit and avocado ice cream is a must. The ice creams here are made without adding sugar and are absolutely delicious. Perfect for a break.

Before leaving for your day of discovery, why not stop in this very pretty little café where you can find a rather incredible menu based on beans grown and roasted all over the area: Irish coffee, Scottish coffee, cream, cappuccino, mocha, Viennese coffee, cold, hot or frappe... in short, a real Ali Baba's cave, whose diversity is also expressed in all the typically Mexican preparations based on beer. You can also stop there to eat: salads, sandwiches, pasta or regional dishes.

We fell in love with this charming little café ideally located in the centre. You can spot it by its candy pink façade and its pretty pastel interior. In addition to being very cute, this place will reconcile you with Mexican coffee, since it is prepared like anywhere else: mocha, latte, espresso, cappuccino, etc. The establishment has given a little extra to the village, by also offering pastries worthy of the name (the muffins are extra). For lunch, we recommend the sandwiches, which are as hearty as they are delicious. Bravo !

Alas, the best chocolate breads on the planet are not made in France, but in this small café in Mazunte. Set in a garden decorated with dream catchers and multicolored mandalas, this Ícaro is first and foremost a place of relaxation and entertainment. It perfectly reflects the spirit of this beautiful seaside village. There is also a community library, an art gallery and fresh and tasty food. Everything here is delicious. We recommend arriving early, as these hot rolls go... like hot rolls!

Very nice café that sends out a nice menu of drinks and small sweets. The place is ideal for a break in the afternoon or at the end of the morning, with its selection of teas and herbal teas of all kinds, not forgetting the regional beers and a small selection of wines. You can also taste small dishes to soothe the palate, simple and rather good: plato ranchero complete, cold cuts, enchiladas... But the real asset of the place is undoubtedly its green garden, where you feel in the heart of nature.

It is the oldest café-restaurant in the country, since its origins date back to 1808, when a small place located in front of the cathedral served pulque, coffee, wine and other small dishes with European influences. It is even said that Porfirio Diaz came here to have breakfast before boarding the ship that would take him into exile. Here, one enters and sits directly where one wants and one tinkles one's spoon on one's glass to call the waiter who will come to serve the hot milk (quite a show)...

One can both immerse oneself in reading a good novel on the small terrace of the second floor and enjoy tea time with friends.
