The terrace is pleasant and the restaurant, of a slightly retro elegance, deserves that one sits there.

Situated just before the entrance of the village, when you come from Șieu, this pension can be recognized by its beautiful carved wooden portal. The rooms are very well kept and the interiors are decorated with beautiful carpets from Maramureș. You will be able to attend a weaving demonstration. You will also benefit from the musical talents of the family (also French-speaking): Ion is a violinist, accompanied on vocals by his daughter and his wife. You will also enjoy delicious food, partly made with farm produce. Big orchard in the back.

All decorated differently, they boast superb views of the river. The hotel also features two restaurants, Lyra and Bistro n°107: the first is a refined restaurant serving local and international cuisine. In the second, the atmosphere is more colorful and relaxing. There's also a sauna and gym.

The classic communist concrete bar, without charm, but with the advantage of being well situated: it overlooks the large central square, Piața Unirii. Inside, the decoration is dated. However, the hotel offers correct and cheap services. It is rather clean and functional. Each room has a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, air conditioning and a private bathroom. Breakfast is served on one of the two pleasant terraces or under the vaulted ceiling, among the antiques.

Doina and her French-speaking husband Radu will give you a warm and attentive welcome. The traditional food, prepared before your very eyes, is delicious.

Fortunately, the rooms are spacious and pleasant enough, with their old wooden floors and large exposed pipes. Housed in the former Telephone Palace, it's located right in the heart of the main pedestrian street. Guests have at their disposal a small kitchen and a large room with sofas and tables, as well as a workroom. The basement features a bar serving beer brewed on site, and a simple, inexpensive restaurant.

Just a stone's throw from piața Libertății, this locally well-known hotel-restaurant offers 24 comfortable and pleasant rooms. They are furnished with colorful furniture, painted with traditional Sicilian motifs. The decor is quite elegant, sometimes bordering on kitsch. In a Viennese-style setting, adorned with old photos of the city, the restaurant serves Hungarian and international specialties: gulaș, grilled lamb steak, beef or mushroom tocăniță, breaded camembert, beef tartare... A good address, located along the main street of the small town. This boarding house was a pioneer of its kind, having opened in 1990. It offers about ten modern double rooms, quite comfortable and simply furnished. There is also a parking lot and a small courtyard with a barbecue. The pension does not offer, for the time being, a catering service or breakfast. But it was undergoing renovation during our research, and will soon extend its range of services.

It houses a 4-star hotel of fairly good standing, although some renovation and improvement could be made. Rooms are large, clean and elegant. (Good) breakfast can be served in your room.
